I loved this open conversation after a play. For me there’s no issue with ‘noise’.

Just picked up this game after seeing your video also; looks like a really cool game about a very unique topic. Keep up the good work!

A fascinating game. I have some friends who grew up in India and Pakistan, and would love to play this with them. I look forward to your in-depth review!

This is a game that has stuck with me ever since we played it. I have been thinking about it almost non-stop.

Good discussion. This is my first COIN game - made a plunge because of the theme. Still figuring out the rules and strategies. Would be great to see you guys do a playthrough of one full game - short version or long version. So the next time you play could just switch on the cam please :)

Just took this leap myself. Working through the rulebook. REALLY hope this ends up being a door worth walking through. I love complex games like Feudum, Root, the Lacerdas so I'm hoping this will be another excellent pathway to complex games that play well solo.

As an Indian I am happy that this game tries to represent the complex struggle of Indian Independence.

Are you implying that those who aren't Indian cannot be "happy that this game tries to represent the complex struggle of Indian Independence."? If not, then what does one being Indian have to do with anything? Does the virtue signaling ever cease?!

@@Conflict_Boardgaming You can read any kind of hidden poetry in between the lines. The understanding of independence of commonwealth nations according to British revisionist is that empire let go of her colonies because they were harder to maintain post world war 2. And amazing nonsense like Indians enjoyed under the benevolence of Empire kind of bullshit has resurfaced since Brexit nationalism. If Americans can appreciate ACW then why can't Indians appreciate Indian Independence struggle? How can my enjoyment of a subject hamper yours?

@@sarthakmishra1415 I never said you couldn't enjoy it. I also never said your enjoyment affects me one way or the other. Indeed, I couldn't care less. I simply asked you why you felt it was important to point out that you are an Indian. Why does that matter? Very simple questions... I'm surprised that you are unwilling or unable to answer them.

Well, I'd say I'm happy to see Indian themes in board games as I think this is a grossly under-represented theme for an ancient and great civilisation just as the Greek, Roman, Chinese civilisation of which there are thousands of games. With this being the case, if you're an Indian playing this game, you're doubly happy. Almost all my map-based games have Europe maps or US maps (rare Africa map) which in itself is the norm. May be it's hard to understand the satisfaction of finally playing a board game with the map of your country and seeing the names of places that you grew up in...

Any conflict is complex but the Indian freedom struggle was particularly very complex, the impacts of which are still being felt today and are expected to be felt for decades to follow. Understanding of Indian history would help appreciate the complexity here. The game does a good job simplifying the struggle in a way it can be represented as an enjoyable exercise.

I’m new to COIN (4 weeks in) and learning Cuba Libre at the mo, tempted to pick this up as in stock still (in UK) have you played this much since this was made? Noise no problem for me either, enjoyed your chat despite not knowing COIN much! So once I’ve learnt CL will this be a tough step up? Thank you

Thank you, maybe conventions and reviews don't go together... The noise makes it unpleasant to follow.
