Toss-up between the Mozzie and the Typhoon. Both superb fighters though I can't help thinking the Mosquito isn't quite modelled accurately. Still, the nose guns are deadly even at extreme range, and with the convergence set to infinity you can snipe ground targets from miles away!

This one! The F Mk.IX was my first plane with an aced crew. I started playing WT in 2013 and picked Brits first because of the spitfires, when I came back in 2020 I did the same thing again. They're just so fun to fly.

@@dar30 i agree , the mozzie's flight model seems quite inaccurate, i mean mozzie AKA Berlin express was really fast and wooden body means , its quite more agile than the model in WT. It should be looked on by WT, and corrected soon ....

An AAA literally just sniped me out of the cockpit on 2000-3000 metres altitude the other day. Their AI is evolving.

so you probably had bombs on you or attacked ground targets before. ground does not just attack you anymore. and i got pilot sniped at 5 k, before the aa was nerfed multiple times…mid map

A (nonplayer) Ai medium tank shot me down back in the day on War Thunder in 2014. I was in a BF110 on Sicily. It hit me from around 2km away. I literally exploded and it stated Ai medium tank air kill on AIR Rb. I uninstalled the game after that and didn't play for around a year.

Yeah shits real. You literally have to be at least 4.800m high to 5.5k to at least be out of kill zone. Its crap when you forget and get nicked it takes you out of the combat zone or you crash and the nearest enemy takes you as a kill...hateful 😂

Anyone who loves to fly the P-51's can confirm they are fireworks, anytime you get hit you just get set a blaze. (this is from my personal experience)

I prefer the cannon and browning spitfires to the later cannon only ones, not sure what it is about them but I get a lot more kills

can you play the comet and/or cent mk1 with a line up. All this chasing for top tier has taken away much of the fun I used to have and I literally am at a loss as to how to play those brs anymore especially with British tanks with high pen apds/non filler rounds. I got clapped by the same mid map AAA in a match, while looking for their last two players. Set me on fire instantly. Who exactly does GAijin think wants this? The matches already end too early due to ticket bleed.

The difference is that now mid map AAA doesn't even shoot at you until you start hitting ground targets

OK thanks. I don’t usually bother with ground targets but I probably did in that game, like I said I was looking/ waiting for their last two players and maybe we were down on points so I had no choice but to take out some ground pieces or the enemy just camps their airfield and wins on points. It still felt like it was an absolute sniper shot with no warning tracers, just instant critical damage on their side of the map, and even if I had managed to get back to base and repair (which I couldn’t) the match would have ended before I got back up and into the fight. My point is it’s a game and is supposed to be fun, and the games really are short these days, most end in 10 minutes or less, usually somehow right in the middle of a good dogfight. That’s not even how I want to win a match.

I'm seeing a lot of KZbin videos where players hold the WEP until the numbers turn red. Does that not break your engine any more? In my early War Thunder years I remember getting your numbers into the orange could make the engine start turning colors on your damage diagram, before the enemy ever shot you. Numbers in the red meant your engine would turn orange and lose power, and it was a matter of time before it seized.

It's till a thing but they've modelled temps properly now so that only happens if your oil and water really gets too hot for a long period.

Yes he’s right I still wouldn’t recommend doing it until your in the fight when your in the fight push the spitfire and it’s engine to its limits squeeze all the power you can put but when you do that you hurt the engine so if you do it while flying over by the time you get there your engines shot it’s dead. With that being said I would only WEP when I’m pursuing an enemy and or turn fighting for the extra power or if I need to flee apart from those don’t use WEP

Idk i just can't stand that setup of shitty mg's and only 120 rounds of 20mm. Tried Spitfire Mk Vc trop and it doesn't perform good (stock?) yet i may need time to get used to it. Edit: sry this model has 240 round of 20mm but still, need more xD
