WBP Parkinson's Awareness Day: Sex and Gender Differences in Caregiving

April 11 is World #ParkinsonsAwarenessDay and the theme is #Take6forPD to encourage everyone to take even just 6 minutes to help us raise #ParkinsonsAwareness.
Earlier this year the #WomensBrainProject was proud to share the WBP-Commissioned Economist Impact White Paper to examine the economic rationale for investing in sex-and-gender-specific brain research. This paper includes a conceptual framework for investing in sex and gender-specific research in the area of PD.
Greater investment into sex and gender-specific research will lead to better diagnosis and management of PD which will reduce disease-related health expenditure and societal costs. It will also be life-changing for individuals living with PD, as well as their caregivers, friends, family and loved ones.
