the largest difference, and I'm surprised that Remo doesn't spot this because his analysis is very good, between Asian humans and European is that Asians try to avoid fighting fiends head on, especially after Lich and statues, and instead try to outmaneuver and base harrass.. you simply can't do much at that stage other than feed experience and waste money.. after TH000 or Infi get a couple towers up, they do not try to fight fiends head on unless their early game went super well and they outnumber the fiends by a lot I'm still surprised more players don't try to emulate Infi's style when he beat Happy 3-0

Tod was better than expectations, very good performance in game 1,2 but bad timing and he could pressure better by tanks. Anyway I think grubby could win the tournament if he wouldn’t make those bad mistakes in his game. Good to see grubby again.

That's pretty much how it is, it's not balanced. Watch Sok or Infi recent games Vs Undead they show how to win it. But at amateur level I think the imabalance is even worse. Hero nuke is just impossible, the skill level required in micro is insane (to even get an expansion up against a decent DK harass). I just gg out at the start half the time Vs UD, it's not fun. Pala rifle on one base seems more viable at lower level play

Check Happy vs Hawk matches, it was a pretty solid plan for Hawk as he doesn't go for a fast expansion and one game would go MK first forcing Happy into a different build. All matches happy was reacting to the human plays, and you could see that creep routes/micro made much more of a difference than just the matchup.

About possession/charm the units you charm gets zero armour/atk upgrade but all the rest. Only applies to units of other races otherwise they get the upgrades you researched only.

The human vs undead matchup raises the question of race vs race specific balance changes instead of just general balance changes. Many of the issues that were created for human in these latest patches come from balancing its advantage vs other races, forgetting that those advantages were what was keeping them from being destroyed by undeads. Just a thought here.

An example: defend may be buffed vs only undead piercing. This way, it could make footmen more durable during early midgame withoug affecting other matchups. Tower repair rate vs fiends is absurd. 3 fiend focus plus a couple of heroes vs 5 or 6 peasants repairing is just for nothing, towers get wrecked anyways.

Not saying ToD is better than Happy or that Happy won because of balance, I believe Happy would beat ToD using elf. However, the level difference should not be that high as this series shows.

What are you talking about? Human got buffed in the latest patch for this exact reason. The only real nerf was thunderclap unit cap because it's ridiculous against orc, and it still hits unlimited units, just at a reduced damage beyond the cap. The level of difference REALLY is that high. None of the players who are on happy's level were in this tournament. No Infi, no Moon, no Lynn, potentially Hitman. Tod has zero chance against Happy as any race, just like you said.

human controls 6 types of units, undead controls 3 types of units. The food for army is way over 70 for human, the food for army is under 70 for undead. However, undead wins easier in fights. Is this a players difference or actually races difference.

1. Happy is using Tier 3 Units while ToD is still stuck with Tier 2 2. Happy's armies have a better upgrades which is irrelevant to the food capacity 3. Happy's heroes have a better items and higher level which is also irrelevant to the food capacity 4. It's not always a good idea to have more diverse in unit types since that means you need to go through more upgrades before you can have an effective army 5. Happy were going for a strong attacks and pulls out many Ghouls that were working on lumber, while ToD still have many peasants both in Gold Mine and Lumbers. This solves the food capacity difference. 6. Happy is indeed a much better player than ToD. He's very active in tournaments and strong enough to beat many top asian players. While ToD is now just a streamer and caster. It's always a good idea to actually analyze the situation correctly, if you want to complain about balance. Judging with only the food difference and unit type is such a stupidity narrow mindset

I watch a lot of back2warcraft. I’m not pro by any means...but that end game for the undead looks so superior to human because of anti-magic and banshees that it makes me think humans may have to do what NE does vs human and do some kind of timing to prevent that end game from getting there. Human seems to always be the inevitable race vs everyone else, so maybe they aren’t used to that? Idk. Just curious what someone who knows more may think. End of game 1 looked so convincing.

It's not just about the matchup. Rifles with inner fire are kinda deadly but you can't go rifles against him because he's happy. You have to eliminate so many options just because your opponent has a perfect micro.

Only at the absolute top tier- Orc. Orc is the only one that can reliably focus fire UD's heroes because of Hex plus TC stun. And UD is useless once either DK or Lich falls. No other race can nuke down the Lich reliably, before DK can coil.

Whenever ToD has the expansion, he needs to multithread with some peons/militia to build towers close to the undead base and at the undead expansion. That would create a good distraction since Happy keeps creep jacking him around the map because it seems too obvious of gameplay.

Going knights and nuke vs banshee is just asking to lose. Banshee countered Tods strat completely. ToD made so many roflcopters which did nothing since happy had no air at all and just ignored the copters, just wasted Tods supply. Then if ToD kills them himself, happy can make destros.. Lol, im so back into Wc3(I never really left but if you dont play 4 matches a day -lets say- the skills atrophy). I was aghast that WC4 wasn't a priority over SC2. WC3 is so clearly superior to SC. AMS (Anti-Magic Shield) needs to be nerfed 😑 its already tough enough for Human to get to lategame against UD, and when they do they are up against overtuned AMS. Always thought it looked to strong against any race really.

Just 250 dmg absorbed. Happy's micro is INSANE putting AMS upon his heroes/units inmediatly it dissapear (NO NERF ABOUT HAPPY SKILLS)

@@g.c.s.3720 Ye im not saying anything about Happy, obviously Tod got more problems then AMS, Happy is a god etc :). Im just talking about the spell. So ye i think AMS is abit too strong compared to other tier 3 spells. Also the sorceress Slow, even after nerf the duration is still to long imo. I think it would be healthy to look into adjusting/nerfing both spells, and theres different ways to do that. (Dont just have to nerf dmg absorb i mean. Ex. Cooldown on spell use, AMS Dispellable etc)

@@nicemedspice Meh, ams is the only anti nuke ud has, hu can nuke ud easily without it. Also, it is dispellable

Cause im pretty sure the "normal" dispell doesnt work, forgot the name of the spell but the priest dispell etc. And im not saying remove AMS :P stop confusing my arguments with ur own thought and opinions! I welcome you to read what i wrote again :) then im glad to discuss!
