I fckin LOVE UGen, dude!!! My favorite team for sure!!! That being said tho, you can tell Breach is gonna be a Hell of a threat in the future of this sport! Damn they were good! And side note, Haroon and Richard really benefit from having such long arms. Notice they don’t move with quite as much speed or agility as most other players but they still get off. It’s their reach.

1:10 Why do you ask "athletes ready" at the start of each evasion and when they are not, you continue to run the game? Just pause it if they not.

That's a good questions. When we say "Athletes Ready," it's not a question, it's a statement / warning. There is always a 30 second rest period between chases and if an athlete is not ready, that's their fault and we will start the chase anyway. If we allow athletes to dictate when we start the chase, they could stall and use it as a strategy if they are tired (having said that, a late start to the chase will usually suit the Evader more than the Chaser because they have had the more recent chase). In this case, Phil was not ready so we started the chase and he had to make up time. However, Phil is a legend so he had no troubles still making the tag.

@@WorldChaseTag This makes a lot of sense. Even in between rounds, the game is still being played. Players have to manage their energy and make their chasing/evading decisions ahead of time in the 30 seconds they have. Can't wait to see this grow bigger.

@@WorldChaseTag I'm writing here because I don't know how to tag in a normal comment. I'm curious if anyone has ever considered making the game work in a way that the amount of seconds an athlete evades gets added up with the rest of the team, and after 16 chases whichever team has the most evasion time wins, and if an evader gets 20 seconds then they get to go again. Is there a downside to playing WCT like this? Because as much as I love seeing my favorite teams win, I'd prefer to see all 16 chases rather than the game ending at 13 :D

@@DiaLaeT Interesting idea. So if I evaded for 20 seconds I'd get to go again. Would that start the next round as well? Or would it keep going forever as long as I evaded? I think having simpler scores makes it easier for referees and the event as a whole. Because then there might be contention over a few milliseconds of chase time.

This was one of the best matches by far. Besides Omar, from whom i havent seen much considering he Is new, UGen grew up as a team and i consider them to be the best atm, altho they are usually really unlucky :( also, Breach was a pleasant surprise, i think they might have put a better performance but they lack experience and unfortunately xavia got injured again... he may as well be an MVP this tournament. Beast.

Out of curiosity has there ever been talk about changing the course between seasons? I understand you want some consistency so that strategies can be formed and paths can be set but I feel like a lot can be added to both the viewing and player experience by changing it up. Lorenzo yes I get that but I mean, I’ve been Doing parkour on and off for about 3 years and I have never seen anything like this, even by some of the best in my area. That’s why I asked because I have never seen anyone train for anything like this before. I just wondered weather there was a special program or something that all the teams used and that people could access and use.

All of the athletes who competed in the competition are top level Parkour athletes. Parkour really helps as a base and then on top of that being able to scramble, change direction and have a lot of explosive power! :)
