Hi - hope everyone is good!!! For WCT merch, check out the link: teespring.com/stores/world-chase-tag-2 A couple things to address in this match: Firstly, the cap incident in Chase 16. Before the event started, a few athletes were asking what happens if any articles of clothing come loose during a chase and create a trip / slip hazard for their opponent. As this is a new sport, we hadn't actually made a ruling on this so we talked to all the teams about it - some people thought accessories (eg hats) should be banned, others thought they should be able to wear what they want. We came up with a compromise - athletes can wear what they want but if an article of clothing comes off during a chase and their opponent tags it, they lose the chase. So in Chase 16 (as things stood at the time), if Sean would have tagged Laine's cap, Sean would have won the chase. As it turns out he got the tag anyway but that was what all the confusion was about (in case you were wondering). We're not sure what we'll do about this in the future but it would be interesting to hear your thoughts. Secondly, this was the first Sudden Death Chase-Off of WCT USA. For those that don't know, if a match ends in a draw, we go to a Sudden Death Chase-Off. This consists of 2 x 20 second chases. Each team gets to Evade and teams can send out any athlete they want. Whichever team gets the longest Evasion time wins. As far the group tables are concerned, each team gets 1 point for a draw and the winner of the Sudden Death Chase-Off gets a bonus point. Honestly, though, if hats are going to be a distraction by falling off and potentially a safety hazard if it messes with someone's foot placement/grip, I personally don't think they should be allowed. I mean, they'd have to keep it off for only 20 seconds (or more--if they're good!)

Alright, for "SickRedApple", (I'm not sure why it's not showing your reply, but this is the only comment I replied to), The only way for tempest to advance, would be for both Tup to beat Ollo, taking out Antidote themselves, and _then_ winning with two more evasions than whatever Ollo gets in their match. Even then, that would only be for third place, and they'd have to fight for someone for the chance to get to top 8.

I look forward to those consistent events. But in the mean time to keep the channel active put out more of those course instructonals, plus make a video or even a series were you show gyms how to make a quade and it’s obsticals. With the sport picking up steam videos like this would be infaluable. Heck if you really want consistency, just post up short training videos that teach the basics in the different styles used on the course. After all your not a normal sports channel we’re it’s dedicated to one style (example football) your more similar to mma with a mishmash of practices. You got free runners, parkour, trikers, gymnastics, bar swingers, track, football, martial arts and literally any other sport that runs or uses some type of balence in their sport. So teaching useful moves and systems to people would help new comers who might only be disaplind in one practice learn how to succeed at the game, while it would also help veterans learn new things that they would otherwise not learn until it’s thrown at them on the field of play.

The sport is awesome, and I’m glad to see it evolving and improving. I think a huge improvement could be made to the scoring system. I would score 4 points for a tag under 5 seconds, 3 points for a tag under 10 seconds, 2 points for a tag under 15 seconds, 1 point for a tag under 20 seconds, and 5 (maybe more) points if you evade. This way an evasion is still a massive advantage but you can also win the match by tagging fast or evading longer than the other team. It would make every second more impactful and by extension more exciting.

We've thought about that and debated it countless times, and originally, we did have 1 point for a tag and 2 points for an evasion. But when everything is considered we settled on our existing format. Its all or nothing dude!
