The athletes don't see any timer iirc, he had no idea if he had been caught before the 13 sec mark or not. Still great sportsmanship to declare the tag before the ref does!

There's no reason to whine about a tag or pretend it didn't happen if you know you were tagged. It's not really good sportsmanship, it's just not running around the arena after you know you've lost. These athletes do all see very courteous and nice, but like I just think it's weird you're surprised they would stop evading after they know they were tagged. Most of the chases stop before the buzzer goes off if the tag is made. It's not like anyone is going to pretend it didn't happen unless they legitimately didn't feel getting tagged.

I'm heartbroken and elated. APK grey was one of my favorites from the beginning (loved seeing basketball represented!). Then I saw the rest of the team in action and knew I picked well. Everyone on both sides showed up and did their job. Great, consistent tags the whole match through. I just want more of this sport!

Both teams seemed exhausted by this point in the competition. Both teams were still going hard but some of the slips and sub 5 second tags maybe wouldn't happen earlier in the competition. Great job by both GNF and APK Grey on this close match.

In a way, this has been the most beautiful match of the tournament so far! It felt like with the stakes of winning the tournament being off the table, both teams just decided to have fun with this one and I loved how everyone was super cool with being tagged - on the contrary, they almost seemed to be happy for the chasers doing a great job. I just watched a bunch of friends having a time of their lives (while still pulling off a show to behold) and I loved that! Thank you, WCT, for making this happen! :)

Come on now, match was enjoyable for sure as it was light hearted but this was far from an amazing match, the level of play was pretty poor especially in the first few chases... Thankfully it picked up as the match progressed, would have been pretty disappointing otherwise.

This match was excellent! GNF knew to send their A-game to deal with Mark and the rest of APK grey really pulled together to make this such a close match. Amazing stuff by all athletes, and especially kudos to Seth, pulling it out of the bag after that nasty shinjury. Also loved the way the teams acted around each other, and the drumroll at the end.

Excellent match! and I've said it a few times but the sportsmanship on display here really makes it for me. Even when tensions should be running high, everybody's still goofing around a bit and having fun. For those 20 seconds (or less), it's all dead serious, but as soon as the chase is over, everybody's friends again.

It's amazing that the key players on some of the best US teams all stem from The Boys/GNF. Seth and Davis currently in GNF, Frank in APK Gray, Seth in Apex, Tavon in Tempest, Joey in No Cap. Dayum. EDIT: I mean, Tempest didn't do that well, but Tavon was still the best chaser on the team.

Nicely done to everyone in the tournament, it's kind of fitting that the third place game was this close. That begs the question though, how many decimals does overtime go to, cause as the level of skill gets closer, there likely will be a point where teams tie to the 1/10th of a second. Watching this, I just can't wait until there's a WCT All Star match because that's what this match made me feel. At least in the beginning, it felt kind of half speed, but more creative and fun in their movements. Which is why if their is ever an all star match, I want to submit making it a 32 chase match instead of the standard 16, for maximum exposure to all WCT athletes. And also super sad I still have to wait ANOTHER week for the WCT USA Finals!! It'll be worth it tho :)) Mad props to GNF and APK Grey for their finish!

I think everyone brought out their A-game whenever Mark was evading!! (He was also probably pretty tired by then TBH, not surprising considering how many chases he had done!!).

@@WorldChaseTag I think they’ve started to realise that Mark deceives them into thinking they’re catching up, like one of those nightmares where you never reach your destination no matter how long or fast you run
