Watching Jimmy just “fall” into impact at 11:22 is incredible!

Spot on analysis Wayne. Bruen was brilliant in his day before a freak accident all but ruined his golf. Nearly won the Open championship as an amateur. I see a little Miller Barber in there as well.

Oh to be young and flexible, Bruen hit monster drives with the old persimmons, Nice video sir.

Great vid Wayne. Jimmy Bruen wad known as a fantastic putter too. I don’t know if you reviewed Count Yogi yet but if you could it would be appreciated. Enjoy your analysis thank you very much.

The lateral movement issue comes down to the left leg going so external and the hips being so tilted that it causes muscles to stretch him laterally. It allows you to put more pressure into both legs downwards because you know you’ll move laterally.

Thanks for the great analysis. Two amazing swings to admire. They have a lot of similarities in the back-swing for sure. Bruen's swing looks quite a bit stepper in the downswing, possibly hitting pull cuts. Might be a CP type downswing motion(e.g, Robert Rock)if I were to hazard a guess. Where as Wolff looks like he might be hitting push draws. Will definitely be watching out for Wolff in the coming years.

Bruen's downcock is deep and vicious. Long? Yes. Both have a Nicklaus type rear up and crash back into the ball.

Don't forget Ireland's Edmond Darcy his swing is also unique !

These are just variations of the Juju swing. Which, in my opinion is much less clumsy and much more efficient for generating power than the traditional golf swing. That’s why tennis players use this technique. I would never start my tennis swing with my racket in a cocked back position, like the traditional golf swing. That would be counterproductive in my effort to create a whip that snaps into the ball.

I think this swing is easier on the body . the heel coming off helps this and also less rotating arms in back swing, it’s kinder than it looks

The Whip -easier on body -more consistent-square clubface-explosive with greater distance!!!! “The “JuJu swing” taught by Brad Peterson Frisco texas

Wolff has one of the most aggressive lower body actions in the game today, if you ask me. You can see it at full speed, and you can REALLY see it in slow motion. People thought Patrick Reed had a left foot that moved after impact. Wolff puts Reed's foot to shame, and I would say Wolff's left foot action is more violent than even Bubba's footwork.

Hi Wayne, what are your thoughts on his teacher George Gankas?

Wolff gets to that position with a flat wrist? That's just... wow
@tristangregory35366 жыл бұрын
Do you think Wolff's action is sustainable physically? Looks like a young man's move! That foot work is funky! Bubba looks like there is less stress on his body?

How about Gay Brewer? Also, Wolff has much bigger vertical drop going back and in transition.

It's FASCINATING STUFF.. OBVIOUSLY god given hand eye co- ordination... but,, young Mr Wolf will need to change to compete week in week out with SPEITH etc... or hurt himself.... great analysis. .. thanks.

Have to disagree, Matthew's swing at impact and especially the follow through is NOT awesome, it's kind of horrible. Both of his legs are practically straight at impact, and his entire body moves away from the target line with his feet off the ground, which makes for really bad leg work, but he does some things really well with his upper torso, spine tilt and most importantly his pelvis (hips) are open at impact. But it doesn't make any difference how bad his leg action and follow through are because he is able to post excellent scores and repeat it. We see this time again, horrible golf swings that produce great scoring. On other hand Jimmy's swing is actually pretty good, with very good leg action. Just compare Jimmy at 2:23 vs Matthew at 2:01. Jimmy has a much better golf swing than Matthew, it's really not even close. Matthew's swing may be more powerful, but it's not better, and I'll go so far as to say he is at risk of injury as he gets older with that swing.

I don't know if it's just me but Wolff's swing looks rather ugly but Bruen's is very fluid.
