I wish AM radio sounded like this today.

I worked at this station in the mid-80's part-time. We were doing oldies in AM stereo. Unfortunately, we weren't using these jingles.

Hello Jay, I worked at this station also, but earlier. From the Spring of '66 to the fall of '68. What a time. And yes, we ran these jingles, not all of them but most of them. When we played one of these jingles, we had the feeling we were working at a real radio station. A rock and rock radio station. The audience felt the same way. I think the jingles made of us "on air" types better. The 60's. I loved those times. Those times of youth and innocence. The kind of memories that bring a smile. Thanks.

3:20 & 9:50 - The Who’s “Sell Out” album brought me here.

I worked at WDLP in 1975, my first commercial radio job. Got out of radio in 1992. I don't remember this jingle package, although I grew up in Panama City and was listening to radio in the mid 60s. This sounds like something I'd associate with WGNE at the time. Could it be a demo, one 'GNE picked up?

This was produced in 1962 for WDLP & probably ran for a few years under licence from PAMS. If you have copies of anything from stations you worked at, please let me know, I collect this sort of stuff. Thanks.

@@MarkJones-bx1gg I know I had at least two packages once upon a time, and it's possible I still do have them stashed somewhere. But, they were on open reel tape. So, even if they haven't been lost in time, I have no way to digitize them. Sorry.

I remember some of them not all of them.

+Bill Ann During the time period this PAMS jingle package ran on WDLP the jingles were dubbed onto one cart. When the DJ played the cart the next jingle on the cart played. However not all of this jingle package made it to the cart. Several of the tracks never ran "on air" during my few years at WDLP. -bb
