I LOVE this ride. Its still my favorite at Disney. I love flicking all the switches and pretending to do stuff. But the best is the feeling of G-forces and actually taking off. You literally feel your cheeks pulling back a little and you're planted on your seat for a moment. Then once you hit 0 G, it feels like you're in space.

My wife and I were at EPCOT on 4 July 2003. The ride was so new it wasn't going to open officially for another two months, so we were told by a staff member. An hour later, we saw that the barriers had been opened and people were going in - management had decided to run a public preview. So we joined the queue and had a great ride - we had never been in anything like it and afterwards, when we left the capsule, a staff member asked us how we liked it and I said "I have *got* to get me one of those!" He laughed. We walked outside through the shop, looked at the queue going in the entrance, looked at each other, and tacked on to the line for another ride. For the commenters below who talk about throwing up, especially in the Orange Ride, the trick is to keep your head still and look straight ahead. Back in 2003 there were no Green or Orange rides, just the real thing. The different rides came later, after two patrons with pre-existing medical conditions died.

I love thrill rides. The only 2 other rides that were even close to my level are rock n rollercoaster and tower of terror. Even then I could’ve gone for even more adrenaline. I remember going on seven dwarfs mine train and thunder mountain and thinking ‘meh it’s not enough adrenaline’. Seeing how people are about thrills makes me think a lot. I used to be scared of rollercoasters, and now here I am, going ‘meh’ at some of the most thrilling rides in the world. I felt a lot of nostalgia watching kids and even adults cry as the rollercoasters came close and we were getting on. Anyway I haven’t been on this ride before, so we’re doing it tomororw. Let’s hope it’s fun!!!

They are not joking with those warnings; I did this ride with my parents (my mom who is severely claustrophobic and prone to motion sickness) and to this day she says it was one of the most intense, traumatic experiences she's had.

I did this ride and was freaking out because at the moment I didn't know what to expect I thought I would be sick, I get on the ride, it feels SUPER realistic when u lift off, but it was my turn to press a button and it was like 'pilot press defense' or smth like that. I forgot I was pilot and didn't press it, everyone was screaming at me to press the button until I finally did. Then my brother, had to press a button, and we were screaming at him to press it, so he starts smacking every button in site. It was really intense but so fun!

Rose this last night and wow. It's truly emmersive. The simulation of however many gforce is wild. The feeling of pressure when you launch is very intense. I felt like my head was going to explode but it wasn't too long and I adjusted soon. Definitely a no go for closterphoiba and those afraid of dark tight quarters.

Went on this ride when they only had the one version. Was an awesome ride, but she is not lying when she says it’s intense. They have puke bags in the ride just in case. When I went on this ride multiple people threw up. Would love to go on it again! By the way this ride, well the more intense one that they are on, you will experience 2.5 G. Astronauts experience 3 G when being launched into space. So it’s pretty damn close!

I went on green and it was okay, the one thing is that I’m anxious, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. My cousin went on orange tho and was nauseous for another hour or so. Mind you she loves thrill rides. Basically, it’s very intense, so I wouldn’t recommend orange at any cost regardless of who you are. I would recommend green to all unless if you’re claustrophobic.
