The very 1st time i heard this song was on my radio wth my headphones on & immediately i sat up & started swaying to his voice. I was so shocked when i saw him & found out he was a shy quietly spoken Englishman! I was convinced he was a Black guy his voice sounds Black! I have always loved this song & its lyrics. I bought his album straight away & it blew my mind! Greetings fr 🇬🇧

LISTEN TO ODETTA! When i saw him for the first time i cried when he sung it as he told the story of what its about. His friend was all messed up and then had a child called Odetta and she saved him. Its beautiful!

We try to succeed and more times than not we fuck up and fall over hard, it is how we get back up and try again that makes us who we are. It is fine and acceptable to fall over, we are human.

The word rag'n'Bone Man describes a man that would go around the neighbourhood in th UK shouting "rag'n'bones, rag'n'bones" and if people had any junk they wanted to get rid of they would give it to the rag'n'bone man, that is where he got his name from. This is a British artist he has a very powerful voice.
