Hey boss man got a question I got a 06 century class. Got a shake and bouncy running away feeling in the front end it feels like but it’s tougher to control and steer and it also shakes sometimes heavily but I notice when I have a load and I’m doing 70 it’s under a better control. But when I’m Bob tailing it’s all over the road. I already replace the kingpins. No luck. It help the bad running away it had. But still not a Fix. I was told the steering gear box got a slight delay in it. But I feel that’s not the issue I don’t know. What you think?
@806Driver2 жыл бұрын
Get somebody to rock the steering wheel with the truck not running, while you look at every piece of steering components, shaft to gearbox, gearbox to pitman arm, pitman arm to drag link, drag link to spindle, spindle to tie Rod ends, look for any excessive play… Hope this helps

Why didnt you tack weld the torched area and the grind it down to specs that would have been the equivalent of all that work you did?

I just stumbled across your video. My truck is broke down at Love's truck stop in Beaumont. I had a company replace the bearings and after about 1800 miles of driving the wheel started coming off. The spindle is damaged. You have any contacts in the Beaumont area?

How is your son doing in track? Coincidentally I will be taking my daughter to a meet in Lubbock next week. She is a good middle distance runner.

He’s placed 3rd in the 100m and 4x100m in last years regional meeting. Had knee surgery last summer.. He is a freshman at West Texas A&M university and has hung up his spikes… Thanks for asking and best of luck to your daughter this next week 🏃♀️

No fkn way l would be under there without stands ,,. You see one come down and you learn you wont have time to get out of the way,,

Right there with you, jesus murphy. I was standing between the steer tire and the bumper when it slid off the jack. I didnt jack it up but i also didnt notice it wasnt on stands. Somehow the tire just brushed against my knee when the whole front end fell to the ground, the only part that touched me. I was just checking the slack on the drive belt then I heard a very weird noise and noticed the truck was moving as I started to subconsiously back away lol. Very weird shit can happen to make something sink in for you.

It’s all good Gary, I myself like all kinds of music, but the copyright policy sucks 😂, KZbin actually has a pretty good library and I noticed the video you commented on was one of my earlier videos, I try to mix the types of music up from video to video, KZbin’s library just takes some time to search and man I work 80+ hours a week and try to put out 2 or 3 videos a week and just haven’t had time to do some good searching, I appreciate the subscription and hope you are having luck on the truck 👍🏼

@@806Driver thanks I've got a 1996 W900l. My plan was to track down a vibration in the front and rear. Do the shoes and drums on the steer, shocks all the way around, bushings in the rear end and front engine mount. I checked the front end and king pins and wheel bearings wear tight then i spun the driver's hub and didn't like it. Took the hub off and i can't remember what you call it but the rollers were losing metal with some pitting , races to. So i replaced them... Then i decided i better drain the other side and saw metal shavings on the drain plug and knew i was in for another 50 mile trip to the parts store. Lol
