Sometimes, while reacting, i get so caught up in the moment that I forget to deep situations. In hindsight, I understand Rio is looking out for Agatha emotionally when it comes Teen and their romantic past, hence she put a stop to their kiss. I'll just have to wait for it in another episode because that was obviously not the moment!! Also, i guess i need to accept that Mrs. Sharon Davis is dead, but if everyone can have their theories, I'll keep hope alive that she'll return 😂 BUT OMG, we almost lost Teen!!!!! Were y'all just as distraught as i was? Also, how are we feeling about the Rio and Agatha romance???

I think rio said that because she doesn’t want to take advantage of agatha when she’s vulnerable and also wants agatha not to get to connected to teen

Okay, yes! I agree with both of your opinions. I like how Rio knew Agatha was looking for a distraction and basically said not right now by not reciprocating in the moment. And absolutely, she saw how distraught Agatha was over Teen and used that moment to sow doubt. I do think there's still a chance Teen is Agatha's because Rio and Agatha are two manipulative witches lol 🤭 thank you for watching and commenting 💕

@@briianasimone So that was not my interpretation when I first watched that scene. This was mainly based on what I'd picked up about Rio & Agatha from previous episodes. When Agatha was under the spell, Rio was almost gentle with her and asked "Don you remember why you hate me?" Not "why I hate you." It was only once Agatha was fully cognizant that Rio came at her with all of her feelings about Agatha's rejection. And They both knew that fight couldn't end in death. Then Rio shows up and offers Agatha a flower. During the trial Agatha at first turns Rio down hard only to flirt with her later. Afther the "scar" story, we have some idea that their break may be related to Agatha's son. Agatha softens, but Rio's been paying attention and doesn't want to proceed without clarifying things, so she tells Agatha "that boy is not yours." That totally breaks the mood. And you can see that Rio is disappointed when Agatha walks away. She loves Agatha and wanted any reconciliation to be without misconceptions. That's how I read it.

There are two versions of the ballad. One that opened the road which the coven sang, and one that Alice's mother made that would protect alice from dying from the curse.

Yes, exactly! But that's not to say there aren't more versions. Since there are 2 already, there could be many if one version can be used as protection. My thought process is that the Ballad could be used for anything a witch or coven needs, which would be cool if they explored that. Thank you for watching and commenting 💕

i love how despite everything that makes Agatha Agatha she warned her new coven from rio, almost like she's actually genuinely cared for them, and a bonus rio found it quite cheeky in a sexy way (like there is the woman i fell for). my theory is that Rio was supposed to go with them on the road in the first place, but due to Agatha hates/hurt/still in love with rio she preferd to risk Sharon life then to be on the same place with her( as we all saw the 🖤 and Agatha said because the ink was black), fully knowing that ones the road is open it's fair game bc she went that ordeal once before. i feel a bit sus about teen because he wasn't to disturb about rio and Agatha conversation almost like he knew he couldn't be in danger and the demon didn't burned him like the other but pushed him away, and if you look again the first few episodes he knew how to convince most of the witches and broke Agatha curse. one last thing i like to point out is if you hear closely when Lilian shuts down it's when in the previous episode she says the sentence and when she said something wired it's about the next episode or the second next, her conscience is moving without control over time itself and she's not aware to that or any other which for that matter.

Same!! I love that Agatha indirectly warned the other witches about Rio even though it was so they would trust Rio less than they do her. Like you mentioned, I also saw how Rio wasn't even phased by Agatha's antics. It was more of an: I miss this kinda look. You're absolutely right about Agatha being more comfortable risking Sharon's life that Rio, even tho is makes me sad Sharon's dead, I love romance more lol. I hate that Teen will be a mystey until the end of the season 😩 i wanna know now what all the subliminal messages mean!!!! I'm gonna start writing down Lillia's premonitions, I'm not sure which ones have come true yet, so good point there. But thank you for watching and commenting 💕

This episode actually gives us our 3rd version of the ballad. The 1st version was the opening of Agnus of Westview in the 1st episode.

Why would you tell her right then? Because I don't think Rio wants to hurt Agatha like that. She might want to kill her, but their obvious past seems to make Rio reluctant to hurt Agatha emotionally. I'm pretty sure her thinking is to burst the bubble before Agatha gets too caught up hoping something that isn't true.

Okay here’s more working theories. And I’m sick of hearing about Wanda and Billy’s story coming into this one, but here’s some thoughts that include Wanda too. If Wanda does come back I do hope it’s in a witchy capacity, but I don’t care about her more than this current series. I want to appreciate Agatha as a lead standing on her own without Wanda. Eventually, I would like to revisit them working together, and there is a lot that speaks to that - they even walked the road together when Agatha was ghost in one of the comics. Also, in Wandavision it seemed like Agatha - similar to this series - was drawn to the idea of a companion witch and battled that along with her lust for power that was magnified by the DH. She has probably been searching for centuries to gather enough power and knowledge to bring back her son the way Wanda brought back Vision without a second thought. I also don’t think Nicky’s room was set up that way just in her delusion, I think we will find out she always had it set up for him in WV too, in hopes of using Wanda’s magic the same to bring back her son. She helped break Wanda out of her own delusion which (inadvertently) saved the town, but she offered to leave Wanda the town and her family in exchange for her power. When Wanda took Agatha’s powers instead , it removed the dark hold that dulled her humanity. So when she said to Wanda “you have no idea what you’ve done, and you’re going to need my help” I think that is genuine bc she is free from the hold and knows what it can do to a witch over time.

I love the way you put this, because I have the same thought about Wanda returning in this series, but Agatha was a huge part of Wandavision so it would make sense for Wanda to return because of how interconnected they are. Your point on the power of the darkhold on Agatha humanity is something I never thought about! When I think back, Agatha had a more... witchy/disheveled/uncaring vibe once she revealed herself to Wanda, so their is a suble change to her in this series as she comes back to herself. Nicky's room is probably the only room in her house that was set up exactly the way it was before she was trapped. I remember Agatha asking Wanda if she bring back the dead after one of her sons said she could. All roads lead to Nicky, and that's why I'm holding out hope that Teen is her son. It was touching to see her so paternal when he got hurt. As always, thank you for watching and commenting 💕

Im slightly worried about Alice. Lilia’s premonition sounded almost ‘surprised’ to see alice. Like she was seeing a ghost, and then she immediately went to tell her not to do something. So yeah im a little bit concerned about the wellbeing of alice as we get further into the series 😅

I never thought that “try to save agatha” was an incomplete sentence, i wonder what Agatha does that makes everyone else not wanna help her? Im not ready to find out😭😭

I don’t think Agatha actually sang the words of the Ballad wrong, she was just playing dumb with Jen because she once again wanted to take the easy way out and not summon another person she’d be forced to work with. I’m still on team “Agatha never walked the Road,” but if she did, she definitely screwed the rest of her coven over the first time. Jen says she was a midwife and that a doctor without magic bound her at an obestrics conference, according to Agatha this was about 100 years ago. That was around a time when a lot of women midwives and particularly Black women midwives were being forced out of the field by white male physicians. Women working in medicine were often attacked and even accused of witchcraft. I think something extremely traumatic happened to Jen that effectively bound her powers, I don’t think it was magic, I think it was psychological. Whatever it was it seems like she’s been able to overcome it, because that healing potion for Teen involved magic, and not just “analog.” ❤️ There was a moment in the performance when Teen looked at the glass in his stomach concerned, but he just kept playing. I want to know why the curse didn’t burn him the way the others were and instead hurt him so severely. I wonder whether it actually was the curse that did it or if it was Rio. 🤔 When Teen is bleeding out Agatha seems like she begs Rio not to kill him, there’s also a moment at the beginning of the trial when Rio is staring at Teen in a mirror and Agatha just says, “No.” If Rio did something to take Nicholas Scratch away from Agatha because it was her “job” (which must be related to her needing “bodies”), and now Agatha thinks she’s coming after Teen… The conversation about sigils affecting the caster too was interesting, I doubt Agatha cast it because I don’t think she’d ever be okay with putting herself in the dark, but I wonder whether *Teen* might have done it to himself. I actually really liked the 70s rock ballad, though I do feel like Patti Lupone’s (and Joe Locke’s) vocals have been underutilized. I hope they get to sing more!

Oh, you're right!! Agatha probably was acting dumb with Jen because she didn't want to add another witch on their journey. That viewpoint went over my head, actually. Usually, I'm able to pick up Agatha's BS quickly, but that angle didn't enter my mind. I agree about Jen. As soon as I saw a white man who looked like he was dressed in what i recognized as an old timey doctor in episode 3, my mind immediately went there. I only didn't express it because I didn't want to put that kinda horrific trauma onto Jen if that wasn't a part of her story, but with the inclusion of her coming from generations of root workers and midwives, it's looking like a reality. As a black woman, her story hits close to home, so I was letting her story unfold before I went there. Rio was looking at Teen weird, and I think that's why I noticed Agatha acting protective over him when they entered the studio. I hope Rio's job and her possibly wanting to reconcile with Agatha doesn't come at Teen's expense. After Agatha explained how sigils work, the obvious answer is Teen gave it to himself, but like Agatha, they both seem unsure with that fact, so I'm curious to see Teen's pov episode and how he found Agatha, etc. it's interesting he only found/persued her 3 years into her delusion. Unless his 13 birthday was the catalyst for him learning witchcraft. Your last point is absolutely why I love the first ballad more!!!!! Patti came in during the bridge, and that's when I started to love the version. Kathryn's voice is suited for a soft rock ballad, but I've always loved the power of Patti's voice!! Rio was skipping as homage to the Wizard of Oz and the yellowbrick road. She isn’t Sharon. Sharon existed in Westview before the hex. She’s just a regular lady.

But I agree, Mrs. Sharon is probably dead, but it was interesting to see Rio skip around because the first introduction of her, she seemed more aloof than that animated. The reason why Rio said she's "The" Green Witch is because in marvel there is no Green Witch until now. But again, she's actually Lady Death.

I caught that, too. She evaded the Green Witch question, which is why I immediately knew she wasn't just a GW or even a GW at all. I do think everyone's theory about her being Death is true since Agatha begged her multiple times not to hurt Teen. Thank you for watching and commenting 💕

@@briianasimone As Lilia and Jen eventually explained, Rio is the OG Green Witch. Her costume in episode 4 says it all. And when she shows up she blooms a flower in her hand to give to her lady. Rio explains her presence in the soundbooth: Magick "ferried the closest most appropriate candidate" in response to their summons. I guess Lilia's "strong and wise and best at her craft" and Jen's "pleasant looking" (plus the anagram "Advil" => "Vidal") outweighed Agatha's "not annoying". Of course I wonder if Agatha finds Rio as annoying as she would have everyone think. I loved them together.
