the long shot that was intercepted that may have been a little short wasn't entirely on Will, JJ let the DB squees him to the sideline. A receiver should run the deep sideline route a couple yards off the boundary, it gives the QB a window at the sideline that will be on the outside shoulder. that would of been enough to make that a completion. The receivers blocking is a combination of emphasis by coaching, and personnel. it feels like this group isn't as much of premadonnas

I think you had a lot of groupthink going on, where people piled on Will after that "weak arm" narrative took off. Will has plenty of arm to make those long throws, when its ON TIME. He just doesn't have the type of cannon that will still deliver a strike if he's real late, and there's nothing wrong with that. Burrow doesn't have a cannon, but what makes him deadly is his mastery of timing and pace. Will just needs to get the timing down enough to where long balls are completed enough to be feared, and when that happens, with the added QB run, how do you stop this offense?!

I agree with working on things that you need to do to get better. We did this on defense…we have clear tape on player weaknesses and can try to improve. I think we need to do the same thing with the deep ball confidence of Will Howard. He had to throw more to truly grow at it

I’m in this camp. This was the game for him to push it and not settle for the short stuff. Build some confidence, put it on tape. Felt like a missed opportunity to me in that area. I think RD felt the same from his comments post game

Dead legs are my worry with receivers, not seeing a lot of rotation until it’s second string from hartline. I do love the effort from them blocking this year from the wrs.

I'm pretty sure I saw Inniss and Rogers playing in the 1st quarter in either the WMU or Marshall game. There have also been times where Chip went to a 3 TE set with 1 or O WRs, then on top of that, Jelanie has also relieved a WR by occasionally lining up in slot. Hopefully, dead legs hopefully shouldn't be an issue.

A blind man can see Sonny Styles is struggling and Reese is not. I feel like Sonny has been miss-cast and should have played safety. Either J.T. has not developed as a football player or he is not being put into a position to succeed. I’m at a loss on him.

Personally thought the interception was half on JJ. That route is supposed to be run up the hashes, and JJ got blocked to the outside, with the DB running up the hashes instead. If their positions had been switched the way they should've been had the route been better, that would've been a dime. But that being said Will also should've seen that JJ was being blocked to the outside and maybe not thrown it, but. I'm not mad about it. A good lesson for everyone involved, at least.

I respect that view but when you crap on someone as much as I have crapped on Frye, I have to be fair and pat him on the back when his unit is performing well. It’s just the right thing to do. You’re unit- your responsibility

But if I can’t be “big” enough to give him the credit when his unit plays well then my words carry very little weight when he deserves criticism. It will seem like I crap on him no matter what he does. Ya know what I mean
