I agree.Roti keramat is much better than char kuay. And yes it is perfect with teh tarik. Fun fact: Roti Keramat is sometimes called Kayu Keramat in Terengganu.Kayu is Wood,Keramat is Holy. So sometimes instead of calling it Kayu Keramat we call it Hollywood lol Edit : I live halfway between KT and Marang. So if you are in the area I hope we bump into each other so I can say Hi.

The stall at the Pasar Payang called Gerai Pok Him is THE one to go for if you are looking for kuih at the market. They have been selling kuih for as long as I remember. So glad that Terengganu has so big impact in your hearts. It is really a great place, haha, I may be biased as a person born & bred in Terengganu.

Yes, you can only find roti keramat in Terengganu. It's different from cakoi. Cakoi is quite tasteless and needs to be eaten with some sauce like peanut sauce. As for roti keramat you just eat it by itself, the taste is a bit sweet and crunchy outside soft inside. It's one of my favorite childhood snacks. I love roti keramat that was made by my mom. Now as I am not living in Terengganu, I will have to make it by myself when I feels like craving it. My children also love it.... 😊 Greetings from Toronto Canada ❤
