There is a sound humans make when they gather that is warm quiet and the occasional laugh or loud comment or someone has a guitar, banjo, fiddle and other odds and ends. Squeaky rockers, creaky wood, whistling, babies crying, cooking, babbling, children giggling and so on that *sound just as sweet* as rain on a tin roof, winds in evergreens, breezes rustling a field of amber wheat, fish jumping, frogs croaking. It's that other sound of troubles that maybe you don't like. :-/

Noises can mean survival. When I hike the desert I hear the crows. If I hear their upset I know there's something out their. If I hear a pack of coyotes I'll go a different direction. Blue jays always tell you if something is out there. They tell everyone that I'm out there. What I like when the crows come close to me checking me out. Their bunch of taddle tales.

Yes. I got rid of my cell phone when I realized I could "hear" that someone was about to call me before they did. Not like a psychic moment, but like an electronic vibration about 2 instants before the ringing started. I'd feel the zap and look for my phone, and then it would ring. I don't like being silently zapped! I am sure there are many others that I don't notice.

Hi Danny, you talk about different noises, we noticed after 9-11 when they grounded the planes the sky noises was so different, the silence was really spooky and scary. We live in Maine. Taking a step back. The other day when I commented on the sound of the rain on your roof: This is exactly why. That sound invoked a spirit of peace. Spiritual whispers are so readily ignored. I realize this is only one aspect of what you shared today, but I agree our external environments are thwarting our well being. Just keep it simple. Probably said too much, but I believe this. This is a great topic, thank you for taking the time to speak about it! It was timely for me, as I've found a growing aversion to the TV and radio. As for the mention of noisy neighbors, we live at the foot of a national forest. We selected our property specifically because we were sure nobody could build near us. Well, they are logging the forest, and both properties on either side of us decided to subdivide. So they will be ripping out trees to build their new fancy houses. Breaks my heart.

I live in a mobile home park in a very noisy area in Phoenix AZ, surrounded by a hospital, fire stations, bars, & lots of stores. All day & night ... every day & night, I hear fire truck & police car sirens, ambulance sirens, buses, big delivery trucks & trash trucks, motorcycles, cars, dogs barking, coyotes howling, hospital helicopters, gun shots, road construction noise, neighbors hammering, power saws, leaf blowers, staple guns banging, neighbors' car & house alarms going ... it's maddening! I've lived here almost 7 years so I should be used to it all, but you really never get used to it, especially being disabled. It's been 4 years since we got rid of our TV, don't miss it at all. My laptop died almost 3 years ago, never replaced it because I was spending way too much time on it. No washer & dryer in the house, so no noise from them. I turned my radios off, no good music on them anyway. Danny, you're right, we get conditioned to noise. When I'm in Walmart or the grocery store, I can't think straight, too much noise, so I go as rarely as possible. I so cherish any peace & quiet I can get! And people wonder why I'm stressed a lot of the time! They're conditioned to noise, I'm not. God bless you & Wanda!

You are so right Danny about how this world has changed... I remember my mother shooing me to go outside to play. It was so different back then. I remember playing in the woods with my friends, building forts, playing hide and seek with all the neighborhood kids. We had a leader of the kids that would do a certain whistle to call everyone together to play, Dad would tell us to be home at 6:30 sharp to eat. If we got home after supper was served, we simply went hungry. We learned fast if we made that mistake.

When I was a kid in school, we went outside for 'recess'. They rang a bell when it was time to come in. I have a certain whistle for my dog and a certain call for the chickens. Then there are house noises, the frig running after being quiet, the hot water heater kicking on, of course a phone ringing, A fire truck siren, a police siren are purposely meant to cause alarming reaction in people. Even in conversation there are sounds that are not words that people use to show agreement, disbelief, shock, anger. What worries me are the noises we can't hear but affect us, certain frequencies are harmful to the human or animal body. Life on earth is all noise and distraction by the evil one to keep us otherwise occupied instead of having quiet time with the Lord. Too much technology ends up with us being a slave to it instead of it serving us!

A friend told me, If you don't move around for about an hour inside a city house / Apt - When City Smog goes into a house, that SMOG after a year produces a hizzing noise in your ears, bcz the SMOG crashes against itself (1000's of different gases from everything that decays in a city "V.O.C.") at the molecular level. It's also what is called : low level background radiatiom. And or Plasma - Low Level Background radiation vibrates (for lack of better words) your nervouse system, your vision, your senses. - Me moving to higher ground and or away from major cities soon I hope.

Danny, I will say this and that is all.. What We Focus On Grows. this is a Universal Law no different than Gravity. As much as God has given you over and over, with wisdom of the land for example, and the perfect wife, each time one passed away. He has never left you and continues to support you. Know this my dear friend,, I have tremendous respect for you and Wanda so I have to say this. What You Focus on Grows.. And you/we get to choose What to Focus On. Is what you are focusing on, how you want the world to be.. Is what you are focusing on making you Joyful. (full of Joy).. It is just as easy to Focus on Happiness and the gifts God has given you in your life.. One being your amazing wife Wanda.. another being 93,000 people who believe in you for Gods sake.. 93,000!! I ask is this doomsday focusing helping any of these 93,000 people find happiness or is it spreading Fear..You know who loves Fear, I know you do because you are a minister.. It is the 'Thought or idea' that comes first. then God goes to work to create it.. It has been that way for all time.. the thought comes first.. then the creation.. What are your Thoughts going create when all you focus on is Doom and Gloom and suffering.. When 2 or more come together in agreement, what happens?? Yes, that which you are agreeing on creates and grows.. you have succeeded at that, only you have thousands of people agreeing on hate, fear and destruction of Gods earth and people. God didn't give you this channel and this power from it to create hate and fear.. What a better result it would be to focus on life and joy in life and happiness and ways that this world is wonderful.. This is a big Challenge, and I pray for the seed of love to grow in your heart and the light of God touches you in a way that you can see the blessings before you and speak only of that and grow more of that .. What a wonderful world you would be creating.. and the 93,000 people's hearts you will be filling with love and hope and happiness will spread across the world like wildfire.. How great would that be.. God gave you this power Danny,, how will you choose to use it my dear friend. Please know this, I write with love in my heart and mean no disrespect.. I just had to follow my heart.. Godspeed Love to you and your beautiful Wanda..

I guess I'm a hard head. My 46 yr old daughter gets a hole in her arm because the cat stuck her with a claw and there's a little blood, she is freaking out. She saw me fall backwards into a heavy night stand blowing out two disks and barely able to walk. So I wrapped my torso with a wide ace bandage and waited it out over a month for my regular Dr. Office visit. It was bad and it did set me back but it was in September when I was preparing for winter ( with gardening) so, no biggie. Yes I suffered but I don't have to pay out thousands for a back doctor to tell me to lay low. I'm still having effects from it but you know what? I'm alive and getting around just fine! My daughter recovered quite nicely. Lol. In hindsight, if I had gone to the hospital, they would have wrapped my torso, ordered a mylagram, extays, CT scan and MRI just to tell me I'm not a candidate for surgery since the discs are at my waist and low back where the nerve bundles are. I would have thousands to pay and still be in the same condition. It all comes down to "it pays to be stupid, just Not much".

Our school system is modeled after the system originally from Prussia. It is planned so as to develop good little factory workers. Workers who stand in line and react to bells. I once had a 1st grade teacher tell me she could always tell when a child had gone to kindergarten. Not bc they were more learned or could identify letters or colors but because “they know how to stand in line”

When I think of noise, its like no action, so busy making noise but never getting anything done, kinda like a old saying - why sit here and talk about it, get up and do something. Thanks Mr. Danny for sparking a memory bank, boy was there lessons within this video. Blessings Yall

I agree about the phone .. the last thing I want is to be distracted from my work by a bell ringing .. the phone stays indoors, and I check the incoming calls when I take my breaks. Text messages? I cant even hear the alert, and the buttons are too tiny for me to try typing out a message on; the new 'smart phone' the missus got for me cant tell the difference between my finger and a chunk of gravel, anyway. I told her "If it was all that important, they would have made a phone call, or, if they REALLY wanted me to get the message, they should write a letter."

We moved to a very remote area because we could no longer take the NOISE! Our old place we homesteaded forty years ago and there was no one there, the air was sweet and the only thing we heard was cows and nature. Then the city expanded and people and their dogs ( which they let run loose!! ) atvs and trespassers, I could no longer shoot my guns for fear of hitting a neighbor... but the noise was constant. I couldn’t even sleep any more because of the constant barking. Why get dogs if you ignore them?? Oh my so we moved. Way out where it won’t change surrounded by forest and it’s blissfully quiet.

What lighting do you use in the cabin? If it’s natural like candles or oil lamps that might explain being sleepy when it gets dark. Light is frequency and blue light keeps us awake. I changed the lighting in my house and started wearing blue blockers and same thing happened to me! I am sleepy so much earlier than normal. If you haven’t heard of dr jack kruse check him out. His work is mostly based off dr Doug Wallace.

I unplugged the stereo years ago in the house. I don't listen to one in my vehicle either. I want to hear the vehicle I'm driving in case it makes a noise that shouldn't be there. You have to be in tune to know what is out of tune. Most of the time my phone is in the house, I don't need it with me constantly . I grew up without it and we didn't have an answering machine either. If you missed a call, well you just missed it and they could call back later if it was important.. Roamed the woods without anyone knowing where I was at or when I would be back. When I was overseas pre internet, It might take a month to get a reply to a letter, By then you probably forgot what you had even written in the one you sent. Most of us know what it was like ordering out of a catalog, You sent the order and waited for it to show up. Wasn't any tracking numbers.

No doubt sound has been weaponized on so many levels...and your message is true regarding noise stress and it's effects on a daily basis,..unfortunately for many there is no escape from it,...inner city it's virtually 24/7...and no doubt is a concernable contributor to much of the dysfunction in today's society and few even realize it..how much can a human mind absorb and still be able to consciously put sensible thoughts together and convert it into rational actions...I think the threshold of a remedy for the majority of society was crossed with the advent of radio when the first subliminal charged broadcast came across the air waves into our homes being nothing short of hypnosis...now compounded by decades of it comeing from so many different sources and directions, at the same time our minds are also absorbing the bliminal noise of an in your face industrialized world on a conscience level, and while trying to block it all out to try and focus and coherently concentrate on the task at hand in any setting, is becoming increasingly more difficult day to day...yes the zombie apocalypse has arrived and for the vast majority there is no escape..a few lucky ones like you Danny are blessed to have temporary reprieve from it all on your country acreage, and blessed also your children and grand children most likely, but how many generations will rural and country settings be able to stave off the encroachment of the beast we call progress...any way thank you for giveing us a moment of peace of mind, and reminiscence of what once was our more peaceful childhoods...I still remember my mamas call....DeeeeeeeeeeeyaaaaKaaaaayeeee.

@@carolwengel4640 That's a lot. You might want to think about using a power chair. That's what they're there for. Balance issues, weakness, dizziness, knees that give out, all indicate that maybe walking isn't the safest for some of us any more. Talk to your doctor for a prescription, if he/she hasn't already given you one. Even a standard wheelchair around the house might help. I assume you are already using a walker.

Thanks Danny. I'm the same way about my phone. It's a flip phone and not a smart phone. I hardly ever carry it on me and if I do it's for medical emergencies and such. I don't answer it if I'm busy and I sure don't answer if I don't know the number. I grew up the same way as you. My parents had sense and I raised my sons the same way that my parents did me. My oldest son tried the best as he could but big bro had started exert itself into the family units and had to follow their rules or lose his parental rights. I worry that when it happens my granddaughter will suffer because of this, not as much as most will though. The hardest thing for her will be giving up social media. I'm sure she will go through withdrawal even though she can put it down when she wants too. She doesn't answer it when she is around me unless it is important (job related and such) My grandson will be okay and if he is able he will take care of his sister. They are both survivors. Much Love

We knew better than to tell our parents we got hurt. They didn't want to raise a bunch of sissies. They would see us doing something stupid and tell us if we got hurt we'd get a spankin' to go along with it. That was their way of telling us to be careful and watch what we were doing and letting us learn on our own.
