Hey guys, these feelings are completely valid! KZbin is a full time job. So remember to take a break, and maybe even go on a vacation together without filming! Enjoy going to a restaurant, and really endulge the food without thinking of what to say for a video. Maybe an inspiration or a new passion will spark from taking the break. One step at a time. Wishing you the best!

It's when you only focus on an end goal that you dont enjoy the process. Key is to enjoy each moments and to create different kinds of videos. Why limit yourself only to reviewing food. Maybe review houses, apartments, businesses, ..so many opportunities @iChangRM 🙂 🙂

Dear IChang and Jimmy, You both have been our unofficial Ambassador of Malaysian Food. I believe our Malaysian companies should adopt you as their representative in their brands as you bring good value to their brands. This way, you can earn income, continue to live in Malaysia and make more videos for the world to see. I hope this can also open new windows to meet your next goal (whatever it may be) Thank you so much for promoting Malaysia and being part of our society. Malaysia government should grant you a special PR status as you’re contributing greatly to our country and connecting good viewers around the world with Malaysia through food. Wishing you the best of luck and God bless always.

When you work for KZbin or any organization, there will always be times of doing the mundane, routine things. Anyone who is working can identify the same feelings like you. Hope there are people here who will reach out to you with ideas for your channel. Or it could be time for you to explore another country. KZbin basically is about videos and the creators have to come up with the content for their videos. Every subject is already covered by KZbin. It is how you present it that makes the difference. Example many countries produce cars. It is how you advertise and how you sell the cars that make a difference in your profitability.

To be honest, I really loved the time when you tried cooking Malaysian food (when you were in HK). Why not give it a try again? Sort of like... re-creating the food that you've tried from the different states? Part of the enjoyment was to see you guys trying out the different recipes. Heck, you can even start by trying out the recipes that you've covered during your time in HK. It's like chicken curry v2, roti canai v2, etc etc. Constant traveling from state to state can indeed be tiring, especially in our Malaysian weather.

Just my humble opinion .Don't restrict your video only for food only .The Malaysian diversity will help you to enjoy your stay in Malaysia. For example you can make content while learning about race ,their food ,their culture ,and tradition ..Every state in Malaysia is different and has their own specialty ..Buat lawatan sambil belajar .Haa...👍Good luck both of you ♥️🇲🇾😊

Hello Ichang & Jimmy, it is totally understandable if you're feeling burnt out and it is totally okay! As we always seek for new goal once we've achieved the one we've set before, it is normal to feel lost at some point. I've watched your videos since Jimmy hasn't revealed his face yet, and one thing that made me love you guys is because how respectful you both are with our cultures, foods, country and also how sincere you guys are. A few months after I've discovered your channel, my parents discovered it as well and has been following your content to the point that they're more updated than me. They're both retired, and have been going to some restaurants that you guys went to when I'm out for work. A few days back, I came home from work and my mom was so excited showing me this particular bread. She said "This is the bread that Ichang ate that day". I didn't even watch that video yet so I was clueless. Please know this, we truly appreciate what you did. Another festival called Hari Raya Haji coming up next week, I hope you'll look forward to that!

Boring lah, that's why they burnt out lor. In Malaysia, making youtuber cannot survive, unless they really very rich millions in bank account. Malaysia culture is totally different with others developing countries and bear in mind, Malaysia is a islamic country & some still living in "coconut shell" (conservative thinking) not same as Japan, Singapore, USA, Europe and so on.....We advice to get a job here and life has to move on....youtuber have "no work life balance" in Malaysia & the government don't care either!!!! 🤪 Hari Raya Haji make what video??? Remember the time when both of you had an impromptu trip to the jungle? Or simply jalan-jalan around the housing area and admired the big bungalows? Exploring Aeon in JB? We love watching both of you discover new things, not necessarily limited to food. As Malaysians, we want you to enjoy and explore our country, in the "rilek"way! Visit our zoos, the turtle sanctuary in terrenganu, the long house in Borneo and explore our pulau-pulau. Don't hesitate to participate in local festivals - the Chinese Dumpling Festival is around the corner, I’m sure there are some activities to join too. In short, take your time and do whatever you want, and it’s totally fine if you didn't capture it on cam! Relax and enjoy, maybe then you'll know what works best :)
p.s. On a side note, if you do want to make some cooking content, maybe can consider collaborating with Aunty Liew (KL Liew on youtube) or even learn from her video (Chinese speaking but english and malay subtitle available). She cooks a lot of malaysian dishes :)

I have an idea for ichang and Jimmy. I could see that during pkp when you were in Hong Kong you re- created Malaysian food by following recipe and sharing it with us and also the people in your neighborhood. I really enjoy those videos. Malaysian also appreciate your effort. Then you introduce some Malaysian food for Jimmy grandma, I enjoy that episode too. The sambal recipe that you teach etc Why don't you do the same here in Malaysia. Visit certain people and make traditional kuih or food, really kampung traditional kuih/dessert/ dishes. Learn and cook them together. Ichang and Jimmy speaks Japan often in the video explanations and this can be good for your international viewer in terms of knowledge etc. Then maybe you can write it up and make it into a book or ebook "100 days cooking 100 dessert Malaysia" Japanese translation. Or you can maybe make a pop up cafe and making your version of the food you learn and sell them. Just and idea.

You both are so loved by Malaysians and also some of us from Singapore! ❤ You touch people’s lives in your own special way. Take a break if you need to cuz moving from one country to another, can be exhausting. I dunno if you also feel a lot of pressure to produce these videos and the need to find the ‘new thing’. I think it will come to you both when the time is right. Don’t worry so much. Pursue your passion, do what brings you joy and that joy will spread to your followers. Wishing you both much happiness 😊.

As someone who has been subscribed to you guys from almost the very beginning, I understand the whole burn out thing. You two deserves some good rest and quality RnR time. As for content I feel that most of us are here for your makan-makan videos. Since that's what your concept is all about. I would also like to suggest maybe instead of makan-makan how about some just jalan-jalan videos where you guys visit and enjoy the sights around Malaysia. Malaysia does have a lot of nature to enjoy after all. Another suggestion is maybe doing some reaction videos like the one you guys did on the SAB fisherman reaction. That was fun. Reaction stuff might be scrapping the bottom of the barrel type of content but a little bit here and there wouldn't hurt while also sticking true to your original concept. Whatever it is I'm sure most of us here will be waiting for the next thing you guys publish. Get some rest and chill and maybe some kind of inspiration will hit you guys again and the two of you will be back on your positive feet! Until then there's no rush and know we'll be here!! Good Luck!

There’s plenty of great Malaysian related content on KZbin but you guys are the very few that do a deep dive into Malaysian culture & cuisine. After all these years and covering all 14 states, it’s natural to come to this point wondering where to go from here. You guys have done so much in bringing the Malaysian Experience to the world so take a break and just enjoy yourselves. You guys deserve it! Hit the islands, go hiking and camping. Spend some quality iChang and Jimmy time and before you know it, inspiration will present itself. Cheers 🙌🏽

as a fellow content creator, although not full-time and famous, i can still relate and understand you guys. we make videos, especially constant videos every week, and we will eventually run out of ideas or content. it's like having a writer's block but for youtubers. which is why so many famous og or pioneer youtubers stopped uploading or quit youtube or changed their content entirely. but whatever it is, we malaysians will always be with you two. and if you decide to rest from making videos for some time, we will patiently wait for you guys even if it's in another decade (fingers crossed youtube still exists). or you can also venture into other things like maybe write a book about your adventures here in malaysia

Guys, you have the ability to influence your viewer through your videos. Those great restaurants which lacks traffic will always be grateful if you visit them. You can actually become Malaysia's restaurant police, or you can also create a segment where iChang cooks Malaysia's cuisine collaboration with all those restaurant owner you visited, while interviewing them as well to add more content. Create multiple segments for your youtube channel so that you grow into something better. Keep it up..!!

Hi iChang. Recommendations: 1. Visit historical places and their historical figures. You may start with Langkawi and the tragic story of Mahsuri. Interview people over there. Each state has compelling stories to tell. 2. Cultural dances/activities and its origins. Each state has their own unique ways. In Johore they have Zapin and Ghazal, MakYong, Kuda Kepang and Dikir Barat in the East Coast, Boria in Penang, go seek pantun from the Babas and Nonyas in Malacca etc. Enjoy!

Hi guys! thank you for all the effort you've put into your content and showing us all these fun and interesting places and eats! i really do appreciate it, and its genuinely made me excited to try many new things (im a singaporean, but my dad if from Penang, and his side of the family is in Penang...there are so many things i havent experienced!). it's very normal and very ok to take a break when you're feeling stuck or overwhelmed. there's no need to be too hard on yourself, but instead, please be kind and have a rest. we will all be here if/when you're ready to come back. in all honesty, if you want to continue doing more food videos, thats cool. if you want to try other videos, thats fine too. actually, i (and im sure many others) just enjoy watching you guys for who you are, regardless of what you're doing. take care, and please be happy and healthy always!

I love how your videos are a balance of harmony, humor, hamsap and emotional. Most of your contents are revolved around travel and food. but i feel like the real soul of your videos are about experiencing Malaysia's culture (not just food, but also living the different cultures like Ramadhan, the traditional clothes you wear, driving culture in Penang). I'm not sure, if this is helpful, maybe bring in other elements of culture other than just food and travel. It tells a lot even to fellow Malaysian, like myself. That I learn a lot about the different food from each states. Watching your videos always cheers me up at the end of the workday. Thank you iChang and Jimmy.

Hi Ichang & Jimmy, I'm glad you're sharing your ups and downs with us. Life's a marathon, so pace yourself, take a break, recharge and off we go again! 😊 It's normal to feel burnt out. It's okay to take some time off too. Just like the Mangakas in Japan, they will go on a hiatus for weeks/months to recharge/explore new ideas. Sometimes, new ideas/goals will come to you when you're taking a break. So, have a break, have a KitKat. 😆🍫 Since you guys just started your life in Malaysia back in February, you have fully committed to doing content at a full speed. It wasn’t easy for both of you to get the Nomad Pass, adjustment to new life, sourcing of new accommodation, the adaptation and your work must have tired you both. Being a full-time content creator is quite challenging. All those prep works (research, travelling, planning, narrating, shooting) and the most tiring editing part (compiling, QAQC), it’s like you guys are running a factory. Sometimes, the product isn’t what we wanted. Just want to say you guys did an amazing job, so give yourself a big pat on your shoulder. Big Hugs! 🙆‍♀🤜🤛 I’ve been through the burnt out and bottleneck stage, so I fully understand what you are facing right now. Don’t worry, what you both need now is a “ME” time, take a break, disconnect from work & social media, go out to the nature, take a deep breath, revisit old friends and rediscover yourself. After all, please be happy and trust the process! 🥳 I agree with what Daniel said. It’s because of your originality, that we, Malaysians appreciate so much. That is your STRENGTH and which makes you guys UNIQUE! So, just be yourself, you don’t have to suit everyone’s taste! 👻 If you need someone to talk to, drop by Kuching, Sarawak! 😸 I can be your tour guide and both of you can relax and enjoy your trip! Sending lots of love to you both! Ganbatte Kudasai! 🥰💪

iChang and Jimmy thank you for your videos. It entertained my family and myself alot throughout the gloomy times during Covid till now. This is just my suggestion maybe for your next project. How about you guys go Cuti-Cuti Malaysia. Go and explore paces in Malaysia, every state and district and vlog about the places you went, what you learnt, knowing the history, give us a tour of the hotels or airBnb that you stayed. We love to watch your views about the places you visit. And then, take up this challenge, in every state that you go to, learn how to cook their respective dishes in someone's house/restaurant. Learn from the LOCALS. So if you go to Negeri Sembilan, learn how to cook masak lemak cili api, itik salai..You go to Temerloh, Pahang, learn how to make authentic ikan patin gulai tempoyak or rendang daging opor...You go to Sarawak, and learn how to make umai, cake lapis and etc. Whatever your directions are, we still watch your videos. Even if you do a video trying to guess the names of kueh blindfolded. Love you both...
