Its not wrong about being a bus watcher. I was once like you 12 years ago when im not that confident of snapping & filming buses in public because of anxiety. But hey, as times goes by, you will adapt your fear and somehow you can feel that enjoying your hobby is what matters most

Thank you for making this video! Many of us are fed up with security personnels treating us like criminals and scolding us for snapping buses, especially rare ones. Hopefully, this video gets popular enough in order for other people outside the transport enthusiast community to understand who we really are and that transport enthusiasts can be supported in Singapore.
@TIB1234T2 жыл бұрын
We cant blame the security personnels as they are doing their job and its part of their protocol. I have a family member who works in a security industry so i understand that they are trained in this line. But i agree that the way they approach is totally unreasonable at all. But so long if both parties can work amongst each other, everything is okay. Trust me, you wouldn't end up something that will be even worst, right? The main purpose of this video is to explain members of the public about us as bus enthusiast. Remarks and all those is a norm so we can't stop them but telling them who we are and why is this hobby our interest and will be part of our future
@TIB1234T2 жыл бұрын
They are allow to stop you for their curiousity and tell them the purpose of you snapping/filming within the permise. You can email to LTA or MOT if filming & snapping buses is allow in the bus interchange and show it to any security staff and see what they can say

As a plane enthusiast, I believe that everyone has their rights to favour something or be enthusiastic about it. I have friends in class that are bus enthusiast. At first I was skeptical that there was such thing but after learning and researching deeper, I found out that this is also one kind of hobby and it's normal. It is right about what you say that people can be Plane Enthusiast, Truck/Car Enthusiast. Thank you for making this video and letting me understand you guys deeper!

As a bus enthusiast since 23 November 2010, I love my passion in buses. Back in 2012, I always ride CDGEs on service 80 from Sengkang to HarbourFront on a Saturday basis and Volvo Olympians that were refurbished with yellow handgrips from my house to Woodlands on a Sunday basis. On 1 June 2014, I became a train enthusiast and learnt about all the bus and train models in Singapore. When LTA's Lush Green livery was revealed, it looked good and inspired me to join the Bus Community on 26 March 2016. A year later, I joined the Train Community on 16 June 2017 after attending the TWE open house on that day itself. Throughout my entire bus enthusiast journey, I saw the change of my favourite bus models fleets from Volvo B10M DM3500s, Volvo Olympian Batch 1s, Dennis Tridents and CDGEs in the 2010s, to the newer Enviro 500 buses, MAN buses, hybrid buses and electric buses today. My ambition is to become a bus captain when I grow up and I hope to get the opportunity to drive the last few Wright B9TLs and Citaros.
@TIB1234T2 жыл бұрын
Agree, totally agree. Its been 16 years of me in this hobby but only join the community in 2016. From the introduction of Volvo B9TL CDGE to Enviro 3D2S, it takes 16 years to witness the change in the industry but the memories can feel like it was only yesterday. 2010 i think when Scania KUB SBS5000 series were still brand new. We are quite old tbh

I recently joined the community and made bus videos around late October to early November. I actually like this, as it gives me a nice tour of Singapore. I mostly focus on North, Northeast and East, and explored from Woodlands to Pasir Ris. I hope the future for us is bright.

Good that you make this video! Being a bus enthus was a good thing for me as I can explore bus routes, bus interchange and bus terminals but for memory purpose, I snap pictures and videos of bus routes, bus interchange and bus terminals in Singapore but transit security, interchange staff and bus captain they can shout and yell at me and other bus enthus until some people saw for filming bus rides, bus interchange and bus terminals which means I really want to quit as a SG bus enthus. Which means UK is better than SG in terms of taking photos and videos of buses even if some bus drivers in UK hated bus enthus to film their face? Hopefully Malaysia is not like SG where security and company staff shot and yell and bus enthus.
@TIB1234T2 жыл бұрын
Malaysia... i usually went in and out of KL before Covid and the staff welcome me to film as much as i like. Theres also a security guard or in Malaysian terms, its "Polis Bantuan". At most they tell you to stay clear of the main road / BRT platforms for your safety. The rest is meh
@masterbeanpersonal28682 жыл бұрын
@@TIB1234T Good I don't understand why SG the staff and security always like thinking we are posing terrorist threats but I understand they are doing their job. Which means I can be an onsite bus enthus in Malaysia one day if covid restrictions are lifted.

But by shouting and accuse... i dont see the phrase "its part of their job". Im sure they, if not, both parties can handle situations like this well
