Hey Albert, Thanks for watching and it's great to hear you're looking forward to the van build. We are super excited about it and are anxious to get started. Several other things have to get checked off the list first, like finishing the Luna Refresh. Enjoy the Ride

Ryno’s Vote…. Baronne , Bienville or Burgundy for that New Orleans theme so it never loses it’s way back south for the winters. And that is an awesome unit. Blank canvas to make it your own. Cheers 🍻

Ryno! Thanks for the suggestions and don't worry, it will never forget how to find it's way to Thibodaux. I totally agree with the blank canvas perspective. That's one of the major reasons we're changing directions. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride

Hey Carol, Thanks for watching and we're happy you'll be following along the build journey. Vanity plates in Idaho are pretty inexpensive and we thought the plate would start our effort to brand the new van BBB Adventures. Enjoy the Ride

Really great video and happy for you three! Congrats on the new home. I'm very much in the same process right now researching and trying to make a decision for my travel home. I have plenty of time to make a decision so seeing how the Dodge Promaster works out for you guys will help. You're exactly right - the "big three" all seem to have equalized positives and negatives. (Ford Transit vs. Dodge Promaster vs. Mercedes Sprinter) So it comes down to personal preference and what you value/prioritize. Right now.....the Promaster and Transit are leading as I prioritize convenience and cost of repair over say, the technical gadgets of the Sprinter. If I'm out in the middle of Wyoming and I have an issue - repair shops will be hard to come by if I have a Sprinter. If I can buy you a beer on Ragbrai in a few weeks - would love to get your thoughts!

Hey Scott, Thanks for watching and for the comment. Also, sorry my response is so slow, it's been a busy month or so. It's cool you're going through the same process on figuring out the best platform for your future home on wheels. I'm in total agreement with your assessment about repair cost and availability. The Mercedes is a nice van but expensive to buy and own. So then it comes down to the other tradeoffs between Ford and Ram. Hopefully our process will continue to help you with your own. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride

Congratulations on your new purchase. It's BEAUTIFUL. I miss Birdie already as the person drove off with her. How about Bently. Just remove the "r" from Brently. The van is more manly, it's Big and blackish Grey I am guessing and the name has to start with a "B". I'm sure whatever you name him or her😊 will fit this beauty. Best of luck

Hey Phyllis, Byrdie was a great transitional vehicle for us and helped us understand what we really wanted/needed, so we will also miss her but are so looking forward to building out exactly what we want in the new van. For 18 months just before I retired, I would pass that place where you picked up your van when I went to work each day. I hope this turns out to be the thingy you want. Good luck--but I'm keeping my Toyota RV. LOL
@BBB_Adventures4 ай бұрын
Hi Ted, Such an interestingly small world sometimes. We randomly found that RAM dealer on the web when searching for a Promaster. We loved the little Toyota but after using it for several years, it just wasn't exactly what we wanted and it went to a good home. We totally get why you'd keep yours. Hopefully you can stay tuned and watch the transformation from an empty van to a tiny home on wheels. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride

Well, well, well. That was a 180, including flights and travel. If the shoe didn't fit, it didn't fit. Where do we start with the STUPiD....lol. i don't think you discussed this with Disco about staying for winter. The thoughts of shoveling snow instead of riding bikes.....ugh. Load the tools and head to south like a snow bird. You're going to miss Idaho when you move. ;-)
@BBB_Adventures5 ай бұрын
Hey Dave, Yep...a 180 for sure. But as you point out, you have to be honest with yourself and if something isn't right, then address it. I feel your pain on where to start with the stupid, maybe best to let it go. :) Disco will NOT be happy about a full Idaho winter. He's not had to endure that before. I'm not necessarily going to be happy about it either. Luckily Franks Place has very effective gas furnaces and I can keep it nice and warm in there. Taking some tools south and working on the van is an interesting idea. I suppose it depends on what stage I'm at when winter hits. If and when we move, I would miss Idaho summers and fall. Not so much the cold winter and the windy spring. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
