Good try👌 This is a very interesting hobby, and fortunately for us, totally legal in SA. Unfortunately though, there is too much bad info, or not much of,on the web regarding this craft and hobby. Best check out some real deal guys, and gals, on the tube giving out some invaluable information. You can start with our local bru 'Beaver diy'.😉 Oh, and with regards to your condenser, you could just pour warm vinegar into the copper pipe and hold it there for a while, then rinse. No need to steam such a small diameter pipe. Infact you want to steam it not condense the vinegar. So no cooling water.😊 Good luck on version 2.0🤙

Silicone does not stick to some plastics. For best results, roughen the INSIDE of the bucket (around the condenser-tubing exit hole) with some 120-grit sandpaper. Do the same on the outside of the bucket and apply silicone to both the inside and the outside of the bucket. To lessen liquid buildup, there should be at least 2-feet of vertically-supported tubing coming off the top of the pressure-cooker lid. The idea of passing hot vapor through a plastic tube is cringe-worthy, but adding an adequate charcoal filter will remove impurities as well as smooth out the finished product.

Thank you for the great tips! We will try that for our next build. This was a first, very rudimentary build just for us. We used the plastic as a last resort because we could not find a connector for the copper tube. We searched high and low. Small towns in South Africa.
