My god!!! If only I were younger and lived in America! What an awesome opportunity it would be to work with you! Paul W. in UK.

Wish I could have found you guys in the early 80's. I was trained as a mechanic and loved it at first. I spent 10 years bouncing between dealerships and independent shops. I got all my ASE certifications and training but it was too hard making a decent living. You can't make any money working on poor peoples cars...I went back to college and got a technical degree and that made all the difference for me. It's awesome that you guys have found that niche where you actually get paid for your knowledge and hard work instead of getting the runaround working for a car salesman which is what dealership techs do... Rant over..

Juan, dealerships want to spend as little as possible on a car before they sell it. I trained as Jaguar/Rover technician in the early 80s, qualified in '86 and never went back on the bench. My mistake was trying to turn a hobby into a career.

Art and elegance rolling on four wheels. It's a shame that today they all lack that. From what I saw of your shop it is well equipped to keep these works of art on the road forever. I hope you find folks with the passion it takes to carry on for generations.

Ì like the job you did but tig is my preferred method to do seem welding and I was a professional auto painter and I agree with your method if you are referring to ppg paint method! I like to use DP 40 or whatever number you want to use as an epoxy prior to my hi build primer!

I would love to work there, I am a Auto electrician, but I do mechanical work just as good. Have done a good number of panel beating jobs including restorations on Borgward Isabella's and a B555 Borgward truck. South Africa is a bit farrrrr from your place...:).

If I was a young man I'd ask to spit shine your floors--- for free--- just to get in on the ground floor of this operation one day. What an amazing shop.

Just closed the restoration shop I opened to take a break from practicing law, after 10 years. Had 2 guys who were competent but ow couldn't find any others worth an eff for any amount of salary. I drew the line at 25.00 an hour. That's more than I was making as the owner, and I did everything from metal to paint to mechanical. It's definitley a worker's market. Had a couple guys that did ok but they just keep asking for more. Tried social media, trade schools, word of mouth...When I started in '83, we'd be outside the shop at 5:30 am to work on mid-year Corvettes. Those days are over. It's not going to get any better. The scheme is working. A bunch of unskilled assholes staring at their phones demanding 15.00 to make a McDonald's hamburger. Well played, deep state, well played.

Hi. I would like to work for you, I have no experience other than working on a few engines myself ( diesel and gasoline) and some basic metal work. I can stick weld decently. I have little to no experience but I learn fast, I am hardworking, and I am willing to work for little pay until I get up to speed.

tried to come by your place a couple of years ago when I was in Denver but you said you didn't have time because you were filming at the time, very disappointing as I have all and some more qualifications that would be a perfect fit for your company. However no worries it wasn't meant to be keep up the good work.

So sorry about that. We film almost everyday. All I need is an editor to put these video's together .
