OMG... I'm sorry if I ever gave that impression. The Cliff house is a client project... not my own home. Buying a home on the cliffs of Del Mar is a privilege reserved to the 1%. That's not me, my friend. While I consider myself very blessed, I could only imagin owning a home in Del Mar. That's one of the reasons we are moving toTulsa. The property values are more inline with everyday people, working hard to make a living and doing what they can to improve their lifestyle. I have to say, it's been a dream come true... to design homes in Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe, La Jolla, Coronado, Orange County, New York, Bermuda, Utah, Denver and beyond. I have nothing but gratitude for the people who have entrusted their homes to me. I am humbled in so many ways! I'd say, NOW'S the perfect time to enter the next season of my life... in Tulsa Oklahoma, where Kinwoven can lay its roots and become everything God intends it to be... A company who's sole purpose is to help people make their homes beautiful. My mother gave me that gift and I have invested that gift wisely. I've passed it to my children and I suspect they will pass it to theirs... That's what makes us Kinwoven :-) RR

Sharrah, since you love trees so much, travel between Tulsa and Stillwater in the fall. There is a bridge along the way and a STUNNING tapestry of multi-colored trees. It's absolutely breathtaking.

Welcome to Oklahoma! I live 60 miles east of Tulsa. If you love trees, you must come to the Tahlequah area and visit the Illinois River (a mile from me) and Lake Tenkiller. Cherokee County, Oklahoma is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

You can probably get more house for your money. You can fly anywhere to the ocean, desert, mountains to visit, but Tulsa is a good place to call home. Good people, nice city, and beautiful old homes.

Rená What good is having more house if you have to fly to all those places? In California you can drive to forests...to a beach...to mountains...to snow...heck even to another country if you please. Plus I was still picking tomatoes from my garden in January.

Driving in California really scares me and unless you live fairly close to the beach, it takes so long to get there! Between the taxes, living costs, and horrendous traffic, Southern California is just not the same as it was when I first moved there in the '60s.

@@rena6895 We all have different values in life but for me, personally, I feel it is better to up the quality of your life by living a short driving distance to beaches/surfing, mountains, skiing/snow, cities, national forests... it can be a daily or weekly lifestyle instead of a 1x a year vacation thing. I am choosing less house for land AND all of the above! I believe everyday life should be a high quality life of enrichment beyond the 4 walls we surround ourselves with- but everyone has different values in life and I respect that.
