i think we need to give some respect to Southgate, the man has done so much for England, he changed England from a long ball to a team now playing from the back. England reached the Euro final 4 years ago and now in the quarterfinal. There are no weak teams in Euros, all teams have raised their game. Teams like Albania are strong and Italy lost to Switerland. He has had so many favourable draws, including in this tournament, and his lack of tactical nouse and ability to adapt to the game in hand is there for all to see. The thing that destroys fans more than the performance, is how deluded the England camp really is towards those performances. Teams play bad, teams have off days and win. I find it bizarre seeing many England fans celebrating, by compassion I feel sick in my stomach after that. It was a car crash in slow motion. To persist with Foden on the left and the unproductive Saka for the 4th game is despairing. The issue is this - we haven’t really played that well for years and Southgate is a piss poor coach who must be surrounded by Yes Men Bear with me :- 2018 we had a very easy group and then soft draws We needed penalties to beat Columbia without their best player Played a decent team in Croatia and lost Also lost twice to Belgium Piss easy qualifying group - we won 10-0 in one game for goodness sake Thumped by Hungary at home Easy draw again in the Euros even Germany were poor and if Muller could shoot who knows? We got a soft penalty to beat Denmark and only scored the rebound then lost to an Italy team who didn’t even make the World Cup AT HOME Piss easy Euro qualifying group which included an awful Italy We have just about done enough and one piece of brilliance we won today Every team even poor ones have found Southgate out Keep the play in front of you because we aren’t getting in behind Tell me any game in the last 8 years that we played well and beat any team above what the top 25? Rest assured he will play the same lineup except forced upon changes because he’s clueless

Mainoo was our only positive to be honest. Kane, Foden and Saka should not start on Sat'day and Trent, Palmer, Gordon and Toney should be in the team against Switzerland from the start. In the final against Italy we scored after 3 minutes . . . . and didn't have another shot on target in the remaining 117 minutes. Against Croatia we went ahead then sat back until we lost. These results are always described as Southgates "greatest achievement" - when actually they were disgraceful performances due entirely to the managers cowardice. It's like Southgate was there to put the spine back in England, but at the cost of passion. The team have shown grit, they were in a final for gawd sake. From the 85th min the team started to ignore Southgate and played what they know, hence the mad intensity, high press and general pl top 6 style of play came through. You have 3 players playing 10 and there is no striker. Kane drops deep, Foden won't stay out the left, Bellingham is the actual #10. The players his picking don't play in the system. Kane is passing the ball to positions where he should be in, Foden and Kane are getting in Bellinghams way. You don't need a UEFA Pro licence to know this stuff!
