Some very good points. Think of how miserable and spiteful Elon seems to be most of the time. Then think about people like Keanu Reeves and Dolly Parton.

My family is deep in financial poverty. I cannot financially support many orgs. However, we are rich in food abundance and mechanical skills/machines. We give weekly to the Free Kitchen and donate mechanics when we can. We also make sure to bring food and kindness to neighbors in need. Our children LOVE these acts of giving, and so do us adults.

I suggest paying off the school lunch balance for children at you local public school. More of a need will arise in these coming years. It's a start.

I share my home grown vegetables. It is really my only way of "giving from abundance"

We have a stitch club at our library. We knit, quilt, sew and crochet for charity. We started donating to a new hospital. The outreach director visited to thank us. My point is that once we had a person to connect to, and heard the stories of need, our donations increased exponentially. It FEELS WONDERFUL to give; especially warm clothes to Chicago area babies in winter!

I like giving to individuals more then organizations (I have a really hard time figuring out which Orgs aren't corrupt, and it really hurts when I find out that an Org I supported is involved in shady crap) , supporting online creators (particularly if they produce free content), and makers in my community, but also I would love to have more money to not only meet my own needs but to be *able* to meet them without contributing (as much) to the capitalist hellscape that we all exist within.

This hit me strongly today. I used to make much more money annually in years past than I have been able to make in the past few years and I really MISS that good feeling that I would have when I was able to make donations to groups and organizations who are out there doing great work in the world that I cannot do. NOT being able to give as I used to amplifies the feeling that I’m a loser, that this world does not have room for me and that I can’t make a difference. All of which I know is not true, but it still can FEEL that way. Thanks for putting words to what has been hard to bear this holiday season. 🙏

You’re not a loser! Hear me? You’ve given when you could, and if/when you’re in a position to give again, you will! The fact that you miss being able to help like you used to makes you so much better than rich people who don’t give a damn about anyone but themselves. 🐈⬛

We give monthly to multiple charities and organizations. I have done a lot of research to figure out who to give to... I'm happy to give money away to causes that need it. If I was a wealthy person - well... I wouldn't be, lol.

I would make the argument that giving helps the giver. Having misery and suffering around you doesn't benefit you. Less suffering is good for everyone.

Sometimes the gift of time allows the same. If I had the abundance, I would give to World Central Kitchen. Some profound framing. On a week that I have been sharing Drawing on the Artist Within as a rarely recommended self help book I lean on: Perceive the Edges; Perceive the Negative Spaces; Perceive the Relationships and Proportions; Perceive the Chiaroscuro; and Perceive the Gestalt. Abundance in income directed outwards is an effort to invest in an armada of boats or at least life jackets for potential rising tides.

can't build or maintain an empire without greed and suffering, i guess. people in the west are about to experience firsthand what our 'comfort' has done to others.

I really find your videos, informative, community- minded, and caring. Inspirational Realistic Thank you. Your voice gives me the ability to verbalize to others ( discuss), spreading positive attitudes and information without sounding unrealistic.😊

So true i feel this way too😊 i keep a spreadsheet of people and places that i can spread around our abundance to when we are lucky enough to have some kind of overage. Sometimes our overage is money but sometimes it may be extra jam we made or things from our garden or stuff in the house someone else needs that we have enough of. And it is such a win-win it feeds us in our spirit and feeds others and ways they need, it is my most favorite emotional space💕

Amongst the super wealthy, Hyper-generousity is derided....? Example: JB's ex... - Myriad are the reasons (IMO), but #1 is it makes the others look like the selfish SOBs such giving casts upon their stinginess... Those rare individuals become a pariah in that tiny group....

Money changes people. They may have been more like us, but as soon as money starts rolling in, they start buying into the conflation of wealth and worth. They start to believe the status b.s. I've watched it in my own family.

I always think about if I was a billionaire I would buy a ton of land and build homes for homeless people and a bunch of abandoned buildings to make shelters for stray and abused and neglected animals. I would just try to do what I could to spread the wealth and make life easier for living beings that don't have anything. It's maddening that there's people that have the ability to do that and instead they just hoard and deprive

Buy apartment complexes and set the rent just high enough that to meet maintenance and tax liability, and put in gardens and green spaces around them... I may have thought about this a time or two (hundred).

@@MirrimBlackfox Also a good idea. But if I was gonna do this i would probably work out something with the states and make the housing section 8 available. I wouldn't wanna charge everyone rent

So, I figured out the connection between permaculture, mental damage, and the progession of our society. That being said. I need to learn more about permaculture, and a signal boost to get to the other people that need to hear what I have to say.
