I *never* drink alcohol, but when you describe the adult drinks, I am somehow tempted... If you described flavored cardboard, I would want to try it! How do you do it?!

Not sure if it shows the inconsistency of the products or if people really have different taste but My least fav was the chix n waffle. It was dry and very heavy ! I wanted to love it.

Can you do a video on what you can do with a younger child without having adults to switch out? Like we are a family of 3 with a 16 month old. What can you even do??

From what I’ve seen, by the time I go in June it will be a different “summer” menu, so I’ll have to wait and see when those items release!

I had the chicken and waffles and mine was cold and not good. It was in the evening after dark tho. I had the avocado toast first thing in the morning on opening day of the festival and something on my toast tasted spoiled. I’m thinking something on top. It was awful. I had to throw it away. I did love the bison and the leak soup.

I picked up a festival passport and attempted to work through the list on the back page. Cookies n cream chocolate mousse cup, chocolate cake, pineapple skewer, hummus trio and potato pancakes with apple sauce are on this list but I didn’t get around to trying them. The items I did get stamped were Impossible lumpia. avocado toast and coconut tres leches which were awesome, boneless impossible Korean short rib and grilled sweet corn were very good too. The treat at the end is a free dole whip (mango and lime) that I’ll yearn for in years to come. Unfortunately for me I have to go home on Monday so can’t try any more items but I highly recommend doing this with a group so you can share dishes. One hard lesson I learnt was how fast ice cream melts in the heat and I’d avoid it if you are not in an air conditioned environment and just get dole whips instead of ice cream.

As a GF person I am disappointed that i couldn’t eat anything
@chrishubbard5073 Жыл бұрын
Very disappointed this year. The potato leek soup had a wonderful taste but was exceptionally salty. The fired cinnamon rolls had lots of cinnamon but were greasy. The shrimp and grits and the gumbo were both salty also. The beignet was an over priced donut from a gas station. I can’t even remember the good items except the goat cheese croissant and the hibiscus lemonade.

I have a feeling that La Vie en Rose is a play on the film title "Ma Vie en Rose" which is a French Film about a young trans-gendered child learning to make their way in the world. Senior year french class was a study in French cinema. Very well-made film; very much before it's time. :)
@mooltz Жыл бұрын
Uhhhh, no, it's the other way around. La vie en rose has been around as a term meaning 'life in pink' aka 'rose tinted perspective' since 1945, when Edith Piaf wrote the song of the same name. That movie came over 50 years later, and is pretty clearly a play on words, but also an apt use of the phrase. It's used here because it's a play on rise meaning both a color and a flower, and it's flower and garden festival.
