Until recently she was an ordinary housecat and that has more influence on her personality than her connection to Jake does.

@@supremeturtle4620 Oh yeah. The Hall of Egress episode. I'd totally forgotten about that. He ended up trapped in a time loop for months at the least. Potentially years instead. And he escaped the loop by giving up control and walking around blindfolded until fate led him to a similar dungeon in a completely random location. I guess I can understand how that led to him sometimes adventuring blindfolded. "The invisible forces of the universe will guide us right where we need to be."

This is totally a call back to "Hall of Egress". There's a lot of deep symbolism in that episode about growing up, maturing, but mainly about not trying to force life in a certain direction and trying to "map it all out". In the episode, Finn has to throw caution to the wind and run into the dungeon blind in order to escape the dungeon. I think this lesson really stuck with Finn and he sees Simon struggling coming to terms with his identity in a similar way Finn did and wants to do his best to help Simon in the ways he knows how. This is a really good example of how everyone needs to find their own path in life and how there is no set way everyone navigates their problems. I think it's really touching how Finn is not an emotional guy per se, but he's trying to help Simon cope in the way Finn knows best. It shows his empathy but also shows an emotional naivety to know that Simon issues can't necessarily be solved with Finn solutions which is totally in character for him. Sorry for the essay I just think this is a really interesting dynamic

The way Fionna flips her bus-inspector in the first episode, that's how Brits do it, actually. *Fun-fact for whoever reads this:* in medieval times, when an enemy archer was caught, he'd get his bow-string finger (middle-finger) cut-off so that he couldn't fire arrows anymore. So archers with all their fingers would mock their enemies from the walls by showing their bow-string finger as a way of saying "ha ha, see, I can still shoot you!". That's where it comes from. And brit archers used two fingers to pull their bow-strings, hence the difference in how they they 'show the bird'. If you look at movies like 'Shawn of the Dead' or 'Hot Fuzz', you'll see them do it like that.

the reason for the flapjack show is because fans have been theorizing for some time that flap jack's univers is in ooo. the docktown on flapjack is called Stormalong Harbor, and it was mention in the show as a town built after the mushroom war (this being why the characters are so grotesque). Flapjack dreamed to get to "candie island", that was a myth about the continent where the candy kingdom is (just imagine if him and Knucles ever made it there, imagine the chaos). the character phil from city of thieves was a original citizen of the dock city, but stranded to ooo. that is mainly because pen ward was one of the creators of the show, and a lot of characters are similar and there are lots of cross references, then they just canonized it and fans gone banana.
