the reason a lot of the city names are different is cause this version of earth went through a very different history once the gems showed up on it. even the shape of the continents have been altered in some places when you see the map of earth on the moon. mostly history has gone down pretty similar but a few places have changed a lot

Y'all have been missing how strong Steven was subtly becoming. Whenever he does something like pick up a person twice his size or toss someone 20 ft in the air, you ask (How light is that person). The show had instances where two grown men struggled to lift something together, and Steven just walked up and lifted it himself with one hand. There are a lot of cool little moments like this. Steven is hella strong at this point, but it isn't really pointed out directly.

Wasn't there a line like "what has Greg been feeding that boy?". I think it was in response to him lifting something really heavy. The main instance I can remember is when he was carrying Sour Cream's equipment though.

There was also the scene in the second season where Steven and Peridot went to the Kindergarten together and she needed to open a wall panel but couldn't do it by herself; Steven easily opened that metal panel and she commented "woah!" and she's used to seeing very strong and tough Gems like Jaspers and Quartzes. Edit: When he met the Off-Colors, and helped them push a huge boulder to evade the detector robonoid, the entire group of Off-Colors couldn't move the boulder until he stepped in. The Rutile Twins commented "Wow, strong!" when the giant rock only moved when Steven started pushing it.

I think the reason they didn’t want to un-bubble her, even if they could understand her motivations, was because she tried to attack Rose in the past and was ready to shatter Steven once she wasn’t convinced he wasn’t just Rose in a disguise. She proved herself to be dangerous not only to their enemy, but to them as well.

@@LeggoMyGekko But that's my point, Rose was a fraud from jump for bubbling her the first time when they had the exact same idea AND she didn't tell anybody she was even down there. Why did she do that? It always bothered me that they never questioned that or brought it up again. I don't blame Bismuth for being angry and I don't wanna spoil the ending for anyone who hasn't seen it, but I'm just gonna say her character seems to always have poor motivations.

I think the goal was just to end the war with as few gems being shattered as possible. Rose didn’t even actually shatter PD, it was staged. Bismuth made a weapon specifically designed to shatter, and was intending on using it. Shattering the gems that opposed them would have made the Crystal Gems just as bad as Home-world. Rose wanted to make allies through love and exposure, not through fear and violence. Even proofing other gems was only something they did in self-defense, or to defend the life on Earth. They ultimately didn’t want to fight.

I've seen the whole thing, so I know what happened and that's how I formed my opinion about Rose Quartz and a lot of her shitty actions. And because I know all of what she did and her motivations behind those actions, I completely disagree with all of that, like there's so much evidence that none of that is true. But such is life.
