i love that maushold’s whole bit is that it is coded to evolve without the regular cutscene. so without noticing, suddenly there’s more mice and suddenly you have a new pokémon and it didn’t even battle to happen. shame this is a mouse gimmick and not something like a rabbit or hamster, missed opportunity

41:16 You’ve probably seen it by now, but tatsugiri has an ability called commander that lets it jump into a dondozo’s mouth during double battles, making itself invincible and boosting all of dondozo’s stats until the dondozo faints. Dondozo also has a move called order up that deals 80 damage and depending on the flavor of tatsugiri in its mouth, increases either attack defense or speed. Its a really fun gimmick pokemon, no idea why its a dragon though lmao

To be fair, this isn't even "official" art. Hell, Bulbapedia doesn't even have full art for all the new pokemon and 90% of them just use their in-game mini models for their pages. So once the full Ken Sugimori arts come out for all the new gen 9 pokemon, it might help show Meowscarada better than a magazine scan does.

Two things I want to mention: 1) Mabosstiff is great and is legitimately strong and worth using. 2) Paradox Pokémon don’t make sense as evolutions because they’re literally ancient/far-future versions. The modern Pokémon can’t evolve into those forms naturally and it helps add to rarity value. Having to catch them in these forms. Most of the rest is purely opinion and preference and isn’t worth arguing. Some things I agree and some I don’t. Fun video!

Fuecoco is a sugar skull with marigolds. Skeledirge Grew on me throughout the game even though I picked Sprigatito as my starter. I am so glad I found your channel. Lol I’m #600. And goldendengo is suppose to be known as the golden surfer I was hoping for better. Chein-Pao is I think suppose to be a snow leopard. And iron valiant is gallade and gardeivore (sorry. Don’t underestimate wiglett cause gooey is actually a pretty good ability as it lowers the opponent’s speed when it’s hit by a move and wugtrios signature move is dive hitting three times Edit: just a heads up but if you do catch tatsugiri you’ll also have to catch dondozo as the two of them are brutal in doubles

Ah yes, Gen 9 was the one that broke everything. Because Typhlosion (a mouse, not a rat), Feraligatr (Brass knuckles? Seriously?), Torterra (based on the world turtle), Serperior, Chesnaught, Delphox (a fox being a wolf was always a stretch, even if they're both canids), Decidueye (it's just an owl), Primarina (I'm willing to overlook Marshtomp, as fans can be dangerous in the right hands, but Primarina is just a singer, guys), and Rillaboom all fit SO well into those theories. I acknowledge that they use themes when making each gen's starters (Gen 1 was genetics, Gen 2 was ancient creatures, Gen 3 was unique evolutions, Gen 4 was myths, Gen 5 was empires, Gen 6 was JRPG classes, Gen 7 was circus, Gen 8 was British entertainment, and Gen 9 is all about different kinds of performances), but not overarching themes that span the entire series - especially when they were making Gold and Silver as if they were the last games (and therefore wouldn't have picked out themes for starters). I'm not trying to be a contrarian; I just feel like this is all a bit ridiculous (like the guy on the left, actually). Other than that, great video. Team Quaxly!
