Benchmark is so good for the price point. I put a wood spiral in a Benchmark full proof for 3 months and it's really close to Stagg flavor profile. For the price and availability I'd take Benchmark. 🎉🎉🎉

IMO, I think Crown Royal has cheapened up their blends from one that has drank CR for 30+ years. I don’t care for it any more. Buffalo Trace, I feel it is overhyped! Not bad but not as good as many think it is. Benchmark, a new discovery for me. But, I have been buying the Single Barrel, above your proof point. As far as my daily bourbon, again above your proof point, it is Old Forester for $26.

For me, Green River Wheated has loads of burn. Benchmark small batch was kind of bland. Early times was a tad bit too much burn. 1792 Small Batch has great flavor but gives me instant acid reflux. Elijah Craig Small Batch lacks a sweet flavor profile, same for Maker's mark, Woodford Reserve (including the double oaked) and Bernheim Wheat Whiskey. Mellow corn is kind of bland compared to Benchmark Bonded. Gentleman Jack has a weird unburned charcoal flavor. Buffalo Trace and WL Weller Special Reserve are my low proof kings. Mid proof, I like Bardstown High Wheat and Redemption Wheated. For budget in mid proof, Benchmark Bonded tastes way better than Benchmark Small Batch. I still need to try Bardstown Bonded, Ben Holladay Soft Red Wheat BiB, regular Knob Creek 9yr, and regular Larceny Small Batch.
