I currently live like this with my wife!! I have my own place and she does also!! It’s actually pretty peaceful and disagreements stay at a minimum!! It also saved our marriage!! We lived together for the first 7 years and it was toxic. But when we separated and I moved out we started to communicate better and the relationship grew stronger!! 💯✌🏾

I actually agree with Anton on this. I’ve explained this to friends and coworkers and they all think I’m crazy, but I’ve been married and divorced and I see the value in having that space, missing each other and creating the sense of dating and courtship. He’s right, subconsciously you continue to “date” and enjoy each other. I absolutely understand his point of view. I understand everyone else as well and did it. My experience taught me that I’m open to doing things a little different going forward.

I feel as of though if you're married and feel like you have to live separate then you guys probably shouldn't have married. I feel like that, essentially, you're having one foot in and one foot out of the relationship. I feel as of though you two should have hobbies, friends, extended family members outside of your relationship to give you guys some autonomy. There's nothing wrong with having days to yourself where you can rest in your solitude. I feel like not living together, seems to me, the person would rather be single or married to the wrong person.
