Sounds like you could advance the timing some more.Advance it until it's hard to start when hot then back it off a bit.

The passenger side exhaust pipe should be routed over the cross member too. I own a k10, and a k30 and have have built the exhaust on both. Crazy how much these things are selling for now, I bought my running and driving shortbed k10 for $1500 in 2007.

You can't beat those old square body chevy trucks. Those were the days where somone with a little bit of mechanical skills can work on their own vehicle from home. Now with these modern vehicles you need to be basically a certified mechanic with thousands of dollars of specialized electronic scanning equipment just to work on your vehicle.

im running stock manifolds on my k20 and ran into the same issue with a different dual exhaust kit. passenger side exhaust system is just not made correctly. i think all kits are made for 2wd trucks and you have to modify and customize to make them work for a 4wd (even though kits say they fit 4wd trucks)

I’m gonna find me a good one for a daily driver. I’d rather spend 20k on a good old truck than buy another new one. I sold my new one after a speed sensor went bad that required the trans to be torn apart to change. Never again.

@@ZHPGarage Yeah that's true, luckily you made it back without a major breakdown that would force you to have it towed somewhere it could be fixed.
