Okay, Dane, Lou and David. I've gotta tell you: This video was on the next level; the motion graphics, the sound and the editing were so smooth. I really dig the kind of story telling used in this videos. Follow you since your Berlin videos and I am so proud of all the things you achieved! Wish you all the best in that next chapter of life!

2 days are the happiest in a boat owner's life. The day they bought a boat and the day they sold it. The days in between are filled with work, anxiety (does the material hold? do I get another mooring? does the anchor hold here? etc) and waiting for good weather. The days on which the boat gives unlimited pleasure are rather thinly sown. I hope with you it is different and your happy days on board are their many. You are optimistic and life-affirming enough. In this sense, good luck and fun with your HR, she is made for it... and so are you!

Dana and Lou - I‘m not one to get emotionally attached to KZbinrs - but you two truly are special. I‘ve been following you for a while (for your immensely creative and beautiful videos) and you almost feel like friends. I really really wish you the best and news like the buying of your boat are making me very happy. If I could, I would have bought your book 5 times 🌞

I've been following you for a few years now and you are honestly one of my biggest inspirations. I've always been a creative person but have struggled with making a living out of it, and when I found your videos I realised I was over complicating it and that I could find happiness in the simple things and by living a more simple life. I've been saving up for a van for a year now and its nearly within my reach, I hope to do up my van myself and travel just as you have. I couldn't afford to buy your eBook back when it was first released but I can now, and so I have just bought it and cant wait to read it. Keep doing what you're doing, as you are an inspiration to many. Much Love x

I know this is an old video, but you should have expanded your search all across the US, at least, or the east coast of the US & Canada. To just look at US boats ONLY on the east coast REALLY limits your options! This is the first video of yours that KZbin suggested to me and I'm sure you eventually found a boat, but to others looking, you have to expand yourself to find the best boats & deals. Also, you should always look into things after a survey because sometimes water leaks are so incredibly easy to fix, but the description makes things sound far more ominous than it is. Also, repairing leaks helps you learn for when you actually start sailing because you ARE going to have things you need to fix on your boat and you ARE going to need to know how if you're going to do bluewater sailing. I'm subscribing!

I stumbled onto your videos a few months ago; watching the van life. Your outlook on life is all inspiring. I was enjoying the adventure through your eyes. My wife and I are working on purchasing a boat next year. When I saw this video it was a must watch. The approach to your search and buying was great to see play out. The creativity you put into your videos makes it so very enjoyable to watch. May you have fair winds and following seas in your adventures.

I didn’t expect to want to sit and watch the whole video without distraction (rare these days) but this video kept pulling me in. It was such a well told story with amazing audio and visuals. I just read through the description as I don't have time to watch your video at the moment, but just wanted to say that you certainly chose an absolutely great manufacturer and model of boat! Absolutely love the animation of Ody driving up the shore to meet Penelope. Beyond the gorgeous animations, the storytelling, editing, cinematography, authentic storytelling, transparency, and to top it all of, the gracious and generous acknowledgment of your privilege and the donation of June sales to equal justice initiatives, you guys really took it to the next level with this one. Congrats guys to getting a great boat! I just stumbled on your channel when I saw Swedish Boat and wanted to see what you were up to... really great story, and my Swedish brothers will have smiles on their faces..the Hallberg-Rassy name has long tradition here for building great boats for heavy weather. The boat yard is on the West Coast of Sweden facing the North Sea so storms like you can see on Erik Aanderaa's channel are common. If you have time one summer, come for a visit and charter a new version of your boat and visit the boat yard and the people that built them, including yours. It will be emotional and epic, a once in a life time event..and you will have a new family... people here are very attached to their boats to the point they refuse to sell them even if the are going broke! its true..! kind of crazy.. in any case, when you have issues and are looking for answers, feel free to call the boat yard and ask questions, they will be happy to help..! that way you can get the proper solution to your problem with the right material/parts, etc. Good luck to you and dont change course unless you know where you are going...!
