We had a Passat wagon, TDi and DSG. Actually a brilliant combo for all scenarios. Quick flash tune and could be pretty rapid

I drive an 06 GT DSG TDI for last couple of years. Just reached 104k, had the usual Golf issues but I love the autobox. Be a interesting Transformotion for me 💯 bear in mind some of the underpinnings are Golf Mk V (hence no bonnet struts just the prop etc)

I love a blue car, you can get some absolutely banging shades and there aren't many cars that don't look good in blue. I forget how good looking the Scirroco is. Sure it's a Golf-in-a-fancy-body, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Sad you got had by an ad that obviously intentionally done to mislead but something more 'normal' is a nice contrast to the M4; not every project has to be a high-end thing, so I think it'll be a good project.

It's a nice looking car tbh, the interior is lovely too! All black leather! And who doesn't like a scirocco? Ha ha yeah the ad was misleading but it was our fault, it did say in the listing it was diesel but just didn't have time to look. We're going to be doing a wide range of cars vans and 4x4s to mix it up, and some dear some cheap! 😉

I’ve been catfished twice by Copart! One had dual pedals drilled into it which the photos didn’t show and no mention! They’re sly as owt Copart

Love the series so far. That is one beautiful colour. I had a Peugeot 106 and a Seat Ibiza in blue. I do love blue as a car colour along with Candy Apple red. I can see why this car went for parts if it needs £6000 repairs but I think youre doing the right thing getting it back on the road.

The needles on the clocks are blue on a Scirocco R I believe 🤔. My Mrs had a 17 plate one of these R Line diesels. It was a lovely motor.

We got the original Scirocco from the 80's but not the modern ones.@@TransformotionVR

Honestly I don't know what VW's reasoning was. We've gotten every generation of Golf so to me it didn't make sense why we didn't get the Scirocco later on. But there's a lot of cool models we don't get here, especially smaller cars.@@TransformotionVR

To be fair lads, I have had both the R and the tdi R line, with the R you are on first name terms with the lad in the fuel station, the TDI is obviously much better on fuel, just not as exciting 👍

If youre talking about copart and the extra damage we find that's not on the listing, no they don't. We bought a van that was hit by the fork lift afterwards and the two options we had was take it as it is or leave it and get a refund

how were you catfished exactly? on the lot pictures in engine bay you can clearly see its a tdi, so you hadnt bn paying attention, so your mistake really id say

When the auctions running you dont really get chance to scan through the pictures, we literally seen it as the action for it was in bonus time, so reading the title as scirocco R we were catfished, the didnt put it down as an r line
