The third 70’s cottage would have been my choice…and I would not change a thing. 70’s design is ultra hip right now. And that dance floor! Party! All of the finishes were ultra high end and withstood the test of time.

Good choice! I love how utterly devoted they are to their children and they want them and as a family to be really happy. It's not seen so much these days 😕 I loved the first one, the second too dark in places although easy to fix, the third awesome retro 😍 That orange bathroom would stay for me 😂 but it was incredibly steep to the waterfront there. I really hope that they will all be happy there 💖

Always keep in mind. That someone's taste in decor might not be yours. That's why paint and tiles can be purchases. Now if structural, that's a different story.

The purpose of a getaway home is to take a break and relax. Unless they are able to afford help they would be spending a lot of time cleaning and maintaining these places.

4000 sq ft is “cottage”? That’s a bit of a skewed definition. I guess that’s what someone who, probably, lives in an 8000 sq ft home would call cottage. 😅 #3 was my favorite, would be super cute with just a bit of updating, but #1 is an excellent choice for growing kids. (Flat property a plus for aging parents. I’m there, I get it.) 😅😂❤️
