Matthias, as someone with back problems myself, I'm really glad the inversion table is helping you! It works because it lets the discs in your back be less compressed by the vertebrae! When they're compressed down it can cause muscle pain and spasms, as well as make the discs 'bulge' (pre-herniation stage) and press against nerves that will cause various types of pain depending on where the bulging disc is located. I've started feeling WAY better since I started seeing a chiropractor- you should find a reputable one in your area and get checked out! Most of them will be a $50 visit fee after the initial x-rays (which can be covered by insurance if you already hit your deductible. :) )

My wife is currently 30 weeks prego with our first child and I just recently ordered a maternity belly support tank top thing for her. The brand I bought is called BLANQI and I got it from bed bath & beyond. It has really good reviews and is supposed to help with back pain and such. It hasn't come in yet so unfortunately I can't give you a personal review of it but it has nearly perfect reviews on the web site. So might be something to check out! There are all kinds of maternity belly/back support products!

A thing I've learned from you guys is about vegan food. My daughter is lactose intolerant (I am too but not to her degree where a little bit of lactose causes a lot of pain, constipation for a week and free trips to the ER) so I've been learning which brands and things I can give her that are made with healthy substitutes instead of just taking lactose away. Now I'll go and search for those ice cream bars. Thanks Amanda and Matthias! And if you have more vegan food suggestions (that are yummy), PLEASE tell me about them. I really want my daughter to be healthy while enjoying her food.

My eyes may have leaked a little when I saw Luna's future crib. So excited for you! Matthias, my dad has the inverse flipping back thingy because he is missing a vertebrae in his back and it helps because the force of gravity moves from your head and forcing down, to your feet and forcing to the head which stretches out the back and helps relieve pain! :)

Also, you can have a cat, even if you are allergic to them if you bathe them every two weeks or so. My family is allergic to my cat (who, coincidentally, is named Luna) but I bathe her every two to three weeks since I am not allergic so that no one has a reaction to her. It's not her favorite thing in the world, but I have been doing it to her for nearly a year and she is getting better with it. You can live with a cat that way even if you are incredibly allergic. For reference of how easy it is to live with, my brothers eyes swell shut around cats that only bathe themselves, but never have around Luna. If you are ever allowed to get pets when you stop renting, I would advise a cat for Amanda because they are great for loving, especially if you spend a lot of time with them when they are babies so that they are used to people and want to be around them. However, it's good that you don't have one now since if Amanda hasn't had one before cats can be dangerous during pregnancies. They have bacteria in their litterboxes that can harm the child and mother during a pregnancy and can cause miscarriages. If the mother has been infected with the bacteria before (i.e. cleaning out a litterbox when she was younger) she could be fine, but the baby wouldn't be.

Hey Amanda! Have you tried a pregnancy belt or doing prenatal yoga? Might help with your back pain a little more than just lying down. I know you said in a previous video that you can't do too many strenuous things after being sick so yoga might not be the best but I heard a pregnancy belt is good. Sort of what Matthias has for his back but accommodates a baby as well. Lol Hope you feel better. And I've heard inversion tables are great! Sounds like your spine is compressed and that's why the table is helping. Happens to everyone just because we stand up and gravity tries to pull us down. I'm glad you have found some relief. :)

Hi Amanda and Matthias. I want to share my story of how I injured my back to you. I'm a senior in high school and one of my classes is swim. it was free time and I dove into a ten foot pool from a diving board about two or three feet above the water. so when I dove in I had my legs up to high and through out my back. it mostly hurts my spine at the base of my back. but when I dance the pain completely goes away. I would love it if you could read this in a future video. keep up the good work. and congratulations on your addition to your family. have a great day!
