The shape will go well in your apartment. also, bonsai trees are a great way to relax, with the stuff that they are 'said' to do, they might help your back! My best friend found this DIY for a succulent terrarium and we made a few of them and now I keep one above my desk :) It just gives off so much good energy and it makes me happy when I look at it. And it's really easy to take care of!

Orchids! (They are my favorite) If you get good at plant care, or just want to cause you can, you should get an orchid, they re-bloom if you continue to care for them. All they need is moderate sunlight ( I live in Seattle and mine is doing fine) and a soaking once a week in water for about 30 minutes. Plus you can get them in some crazy pretty colors. Its a little bit of work but its worth it when they bloom again, makes you feel accomplished :)

Amanda, another easy plant for you to have that flowers is an orchid, they only need one ice cube a week. There are so many colors to choose from too. Good luck!

I have that pea looking plant, in a month or so, it will string down a lot and look super cool. Have fun with your plants, my front porch/patio is like a Forrest with cactuses, succulents, flowers, a water fountain, rocks, etc. so have fun Matt and Amanda, keep up the great work! Love the videos!

My favorite plant is a prayer plant, the leaves close so they point straight up during the low light hours of the day. Careful with the money tree it requires more water than your other plants. It should be watered weekly. Another great easy to care for plant is a Chinese Evergreen.

I really like any plant that produces a flower (which can include shrubs, trees, and just flowers by themselves, haha) because I love the color they bring into the world. I also really like trees, since they clean the air and provide good shade in the summer! And in the autumn, the leaves all turn beautiful golds, and reds, and oranges! I guess I just like color, lol

I love desert plants too! I love having succulents around because they are usually low maintenance. I also have a mother in law tongue. Just a tip. My mom says to water the MIL tongue in the surrounding soul, sort of away from the plant. If you get too close it will cause root rot. Good luck! :)

My favourite plants are Bonsai Trees. They are so cool and I have wanted one for ages. I work a florist. We sell mainly Frangipanis and Roses in pots. And then we sell smaller potted plants (that obversely grow bigger) such as lavender and too many that I can't remember. And then we sell bunches of roses, carnations, disbuds, tulips (come to think of it I live tulips as well) and other plants when they are in season.

i love Aloe, i need to get an aloe for my room but you should tottaly get an aloe amanda because if you snap a little bit of the plant off you can smear it on cuts to heal cuts faster or sun burns to help the sting go away( thats why aloe after sun lotion makes sunburn feel better) and i also knkow you like the more natural things but my favortie flower is lavender because its smell can help you calm down ( i have a big bush of it growing in my garden, smells so good)

Just a little note, if you have a lot of house plants, your house will definitely smell like soil when you water them! Since Amanda picked so many succulents, she shouldn't have to water too often. I have five house plants(of which 3 are succulents), and they are usually watered every 2-3 weeks. I also have an air plant, and we water that every other week. I'm sure you'll be fine. :) Plants can be hard to take care of sometimes. Good luck!

I was an English Language Mentor at my university for two years, and one of the instructors I mentored for gave me an air plant and a homemade mix CD as a gift at the end of the semester (She was the sweetest!). My reaction was exactly the same as his! :P These plants are amazing!

if you want some tips on air plants Amanda another way to water them Is once a month put them up side down in a bowl of water for about half an hour and I prefer this way. and if you DO test this make sure that the one with the flower that the flower doesn't touch the water. ^-^

I'm not sure what my favorite plant is! I really enjoy flowers and flowered trees, like peony bushes and cherry blossoms. And also! I have an indoor citrus plant; it lives all year round and we actually put it outside for summer and indoors for winter (since I live in midwest it snows a lot and the freezing would kill it). But it's the cutest baby lemon tree! It took a whole summer to ripen lemons but then all of a sudden in winter it kept popping them out and they sure were tasty. :) Cute plants, Amanda!

I have a fascination with Forget - Me - Nots which are classed as a 'weed'!! I think they are are absolutely stunning as they are so tiny and delicate, and they're such a nice blue colour!! You should call the plant Mighty McPlantFee as it is amazing that it doesn't need soil!! :D

Matthias, I am the same way! I love having deep conversations with other people too! I feel like those are the conversations where you get to know another person better and you are most likely to learn something new! Nothing stimulates the brain and the formation of friendships more than an exchange of ideas (and hugs)! My favorite type of plant are Japanese cherry blossoms and one of my dreams is to travel to Japan and see the sakura trees in bloom! I would name one of the air plants Umi (literally pronounced you-me), but the one encased in glass I would name Crystal! Those names really stuck with me, and Umi is the name of a plant in Castlevania that looks very similar to the air plants! Amanda, I loved your outfit! Someone, you always look pretty! =)
