no doubt that you can do it , just a question of how mush time it will take even with all the tools you have available might want to replace the inners in the speedo in youre blue bus with the inners from the wrecked bus , that way youre sure the speed indicated from the gearbox will be the same on the speedo (sumtimes when you replace the rear ratio or the gearbox the speed is off and you need to replace the speedogear in the trans) wonder how you will get the trans out of the wreck and in the bleu bus , might be best to take out both engine- and transcombo's and then swap it intoo the blue bus mounted to the engine youre using as you can lift it in at an angle from the top using the forklift and just have to jack up the tailpiece from under the bus once its nearly in probably need to take a template of the wrecked bus floor to get the shifterhole in the right place before doing the swap , the mounting holes for the pedalbox are probably allready drilled or the same between automatic and manual but check to make sure now be a good time to replace the shifterboot and the motor / transmounts too , a broken engine mount down the road will be a lot harder to replace think once you have the engine and trans out of the wreck you have room near the firewall to get the rest of the wiringloom out , good time to clean and paint the enginebay in the blue bus too rear axle going to be fun as you cant just drop the blue bus on its side to put a whole rearaxle under it if the diff has a centersection like a ford 9 inch you might be better off swapping just that part out as you allready replaced the brakes on youre current diff and know the bearings and seals are ok and they haven't been sitting for 15 years (assuming the diff is of the same brand as the one under the wreck) , probably be way less work to do that and the wreck can still be rolled around after that might need an inputshaft bearing for the crank on the blue bus since its an auto they might not have installed one small trick i learned for pushing the inputshaft bearing out of a crank : fill it with grease and fit a reasonably tight fitting rod in the hole (old cut off inputshaft?) over the grease then start hammering the rod in , the grease will hydraulic the bearing out of the hole , put some more grease in once the bearing starts to come out , does make a big mess as the grease splatters everywhere might need to sand the clutch plate and the flywheel a little to get the sheen / rust off , wonder if its still good or soaked in oil / rusted from standing still dont know if the starter uses shims to space it correctly over the flywheelgear you might want to double check that too if you use youre own engine it probably be a good idea to replace the seals on the input and output shaft of the gearbox the inputshaft of the diff and maibe the rear main seal on the engine as with everything a part and sitting outside the bus you can get to them eazily

Hey buddy! Thanks for watching, couldn’t have done it without yah🤪 Luckily for us, these buses are IDENTICAL. In fact, they are only 4 days apart in age. Some slight differences as the donor is THOMAS and ours in BLUEBIRD, but as the owner here says “same mom different dads.” Even the rear end is all the same with the exception of 4.33 gears. It will be quite a few weeks until the full swap video comes out but we are nearly done with the conversion in about 3 months of inconsistently working on it. Nearly everything has transferred over flawlessly, tho either bus is far from flawless ha. Should be test driving this week, fingers crossed! While the bus was down & apart I changed: Rear main seal Front crank seal Killer dowel pin Ujoints & carrier bearings Radiator Tapper cover leak
