Library: I would consider putting the books either in another room or on a different wall; with the all the light that room gets I would be wary of sun damage on all those books! There's a section of a library near me that has books where they get a lot of light and the colours on the spines are very distorted (almost all have turned a weird shade of blue), so if you are considering putting books in a spot long-term, I recommend evaluating where they will be best maintained first

You could add UV blocking glass, and that would protect the books, but you'd still have great light.

That was my thought too. A room with less direct light would be good for book storage, and a room with the nice light coming in would be good for a reading chair.

Yesterday was the one year anniversary of my husband and I finally getting an accepted offer. We started our house hunting process in August 2020, saw at least 100 houses, put in offers on over 10 houses, and about half of them ended up becoming rentals down the line, so yeah, the process was *brutal*. I'm so happy that you and Clay were able to find a house that you love!

The primary bedroom is so cool. All the lights, high ceiling and the wall is sooo beautiful. I love the kitchen too, so spacious and lil' hallway from the kitchen to the next room is brilliant. Well, basically i just love this house so much. Congratulations, guys. What a lovely house.

Congratulations! I love the house, it's so beautiful and full of light! I can totally see how it suits the two of you. I bought a place last year and it feels sooooo good to have your own permanent space. We got kicked out by our landlord who wanted to sell the place we were renting, so the feeling of security and knowing no one makes any decisions about it but us is really nice! Lovely house! I, too, adore the character of the additions. One of my houses has a funky addition on it that I love. Oh, and great choice foregoing the formal living room and putting your library front and center. The wall of windows along the kitchen was my favorite thing. When you have kids you'll be able to see them when you have to run inside!
