I recently moved from NYC too (after 4 years of being there) and it's SO nice to have space/closets/laundry/etc. It's amazing what you become accustomed to in NYC. Thanks for sharing your journey! If you loved Educated I HIGHLY recommend The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls. It's a similar story and a very engrossing memoir about her childhood moving from place to place with neglectful parents. The author is a journalist so it reads quickly too. One of my favorite memoirs and honestly books just generally.

We love our home, a renovated farmhouse originally built in 1900. But we somehow didn't notice, until we drove up with the first (yes, first of two) moving van, that the house had only ONE closet. LOL.
