My boyfriend and I did the “slow move” when we bought our house because the new house was only 10 minutes down the street. I definitely preferred it because it was less stressful to unpack things slowly. Then our house was mostly unpacked by the time we moved. Would highly recommend.

Didn't know a "slow move" had a name but that's definitely what I did when I bought my apartment. It was a 10 min drive away from my job so I would just bring a car load of stuff every time I went to work and would unload it after the workday was over 😅 Then did a pick-up truck run with the furniture when all that was done~ It was nice to not have to do it all in one day for sure!

I currently have 1,069 books that live in my Kindle and Audible apps. My physical book list has been whittled down to about 50 books. Watching you move your beautiful library makes me envious of your physical bookshelves and BOOKS. But it also makes me grateful that i only have one shelf of books to dust these days! When I moved across country, we sold almost everything. If it didn't fit in the uhaul it didn't come. The next move was about 5 miles. We packed about 20 boxes at a time and unloaded at the new house. We just went back and forth with those couple of boxes. It was great.

Clay putting his leg on the boxes made me cackle lol - the slow move it the BEST way to go I will never again do it all at once if I can help it! I moved in winter 2021 so it was exam time, the holiday season, and it was busy at work plus renovations and moving in. Doing things bits at a time helped a ton

I use those crates in the pharmacy lol our daily pharmaceuticals come in those I was chuckling but it’s completely brilliant! They’re sturdy! When my husband and I bought our last house we moved the same way except without the crates wish I thought of that.

besides going away to school, I've only ever done slow moves. The next time I move I kind of want to do it all in one day, though. Like with an actual moving truck. I've only ever done my slow moves in my car, taking millions of trips, and then just getting someone with a truck to help me with the big stuff

Slow move is the ONLY way I move, I keep my tenancy for an extra month at the previous place to overlap my move into new place date and it’s still cheaper than hiring movers to do it all in a day or two! Life changing
