We bought a locked up Honda Fourtrax 300. Will it run?

We bought a locked up 1990 Honda Fourtrax 300. We wanted to show you guys a little of what we do when we buy these to fix them up and see if we can get them running again. That's so cool that you help keep those old Hondas in service. My buddies dad had one like that, that the engine was very tired on. He rebuilt the engine himself and he said it has as much power as when it was new. He said it really wasn't that bad to rebuild it himself.

If you go over plastic with a tourch it brightens the plastic to sell that’s one of my tricks

Just bought a 91 4x4 last night that is locked up, guy left the petcock open and all the gas went into the crankcase. Bought it to ride my grandson around. Only gave $300 for it, so I can afford to put a few bucks into it.

Just got an 88. Paid 150 for it. Threw an aftermarket carb on it and changed the fluids and she fires right up. Still needs a lot of love but that thing is fun. I've got to put brakes all around because previous owner gutted them

The Honda 300 is a tough bike no doubt but I think the Kawasaki Bayous are the toughest quads ever mass produced. The amount of abuse and neglect they can take is unreal.

I heard the only complaint for the Bayou is that it is tough to find aftermarket parts to get them back on the road.

Get a disc brake conversion or do front brakes and knuckles off of the older style 07-13 rancher 420s

I just replaced the rear drum brakes on my mom's 300. I think she paid $12 and they work great now.

What size rims did you go up too? Does 420 and 500 rears and fronts go straight on to a 2000 300 2wd

These were 26 inch tires in 12 inch wheels. Yeah they do as long as they’re the straight rear axle models.
