Sounds like you’ve got twins man! Chevrolet AND Mopar to the core!! Ya just can’t beat being the recipient of grandmas car, especially a 63 of any make, and not develop a special fondness too it! That’s like adopting the baby from Vietnam after you found out your wife is 8 weeks pregnant. There’s that certain connection between you and your own dna but you quickly develop that strong, unbreakable bond between yourself and the adopted one too if that makes any damn sense, lol!! 🤔 It’s ok to have that connection with both man!! I’m definitely a Mopar guy but there are fords I love as long as they aren’t mustangs and Chevrolet as long as it isn’t a camaro! Lol, not totally, there’s a couple mustangs and camaro’s I’d be proud to own as well but you know what I mean. What model 63 do you have and is it a 2 door or 4?? I love those early model mopars, they were so ugly man that you had to be a die hard fan to love em!! Lol, but the SOB’s would move if you had the right drive train in her!! Hang on to grannies car brother! Keep those memories alive!!

Does it have the 340? Oh hell, if it does then they are gonna have to be careful with her till she’s comfy!! It may not sound like much to most guys but the 340 is one hell of an engine and used to be known as the original big block slayer!! I had one in a 66 barracuda mss as y years ago and there was a well known 72 challenger in my area with a built 440 that no one could compete with but me and I would gap him every time!! They are a high revving high performance engine and built right, they will not have issues at all winning something each weekend!! Those engines can be absolute monsters when built correctly ! Damn, this is gonna be good man!!

I’ve got a 1969 Dodge Dart with a 340 4 on the floor pushing 550HP!!! It’s a blast to drive! It was the first car my father-in-law gave me a ride in when I was dating my now wife in high school found out he still had it when we got back together and I bought it from him!

Bill, you, and Miss Vicky have done a fine job with those boys! as you help them , they help others and pass on the knowledge you give them. and another generation of knowledgeable racers are born! i love it!! when i ran an automotive machine shop, i Always tried take the time to teach a younger people about the responsibility that comes with the knowledge to go fast.. i live in southwest florida, and it seems like engine building shops are closing all over the place. knowing how to make them go fast, and taking pride in what you do is becoming a lost art. so bill, i find what you are doing very rewarding. Great. DODGE DART. Im a mopar guy. I have 1967 1968 1969 darts all small blocks. But I race small block chevy 355 377 406 dirt track. NOT that i think you need any race advice but, as a deep lover of mopars- please keep it mopar- pretty please- grin. Wow this is cool, I’m from San Francisco and I have a 67 dart 360 with edlebrock heads and cam,flat tops and stock rods and crank.,727 with a Hughes 3500 stall, 90/10’s 8.75 rear end with 3.73’s. Your guys new dart should run similar to mine. Last I had it on the track it went low 13’s. It should be running mid to low 12’s now. I love this channel thanks for the cool content

What year block 360 are you running Nate? I’m a Mopar guy also and have had road runners, barracudas, etc but have always wanted to find an old dart GTS, hoping I can find one before I’m too damn old to do it anymore! I’m curious about your block cause I’m in process of trying to build a couple AMC 360’s for a couple Jeep Grand Wagoneers I’ve got and it’s been hard to find info on what to do with these 360’s to get the power range up. The Chrysler 360 and the AMC 360 are really close, and some of the internals are actually interchangeable like bearings and rods, pistons, etc. I don’t believe the actual cam is but can bearings are and I think the cranks are the same. Heads, manifolds, etc are just a tad different. But, overall what you would do to the Chrysler 360 is almost identical to what you would do to the AMC which is why I’d like to pick your brain a bit. There’s not a lot of guys doing much with the 360’s unfortunately but I need to get these engines putting out more than the stock 174hp!! The jeeps are fantastic to drive but are slow to get there!! If I have to stop at every other gas station anyways, then I may as well beef it up and enjoy getting to those stations a bit quicker, lol!! Do you have thoughts on what would be a good combination of things to get these engines to where they could at least be a respectable driver just for street cruising without doing an LS conversion like a lot of guys are? If I did any swap, I’d swap to the b newer hemi which works really nice in thes trucks but it’s the amount of money that swap fakes to get it there is incredible also and on a disabled vets income, I just can’t get there right now. Anyways buddy, I’m so glad you got your Dart goin! Keep her goin and keep her on the pavement!! Take care buddy and stay safe out there in commieville!! @@1982MCI I’ve never messed with an AMC motor. I can tell you more about what I did to my motor it’s a nice street motor. Mines a 1975 came from a dodge d100. Mines got speed pro flat top pistons on stock rods. Bored 30 over, it’s got the edlebrock rpm top end kit. Edlebrock advertises about 420 horse on a stock bottom end. I run a 750 Holley vacuum secondaries and it runs pretty good for what it is. Do a build similar and I’m sure you’d enjoy it
