First let me say I wish you guys the best of success. I’m 54 and I grew up a few blocks from there and I remember going there as a child when it was a fruit stand and produce market. The plan is SIMPLE but NOT EASY: bedroom first so you can lay your head down after a long day of transforming, Kitchen second so you can reduce the time you need to go out to eat, third you do an entertainment space (not elaborate) so you can take a moment to breathe with your food and reset your mind from the hard day's work. After that, it's what ever is easiest (to have visible proof of progress, as completing tasks motivates further effort), and/or bathrooms so as to accommodate more assistance. Clean a room, repair the room, bring the room to neutral, rinse and repeat OR place in basic living condition. I'd go with bringing it to neutral and then moving to the next space because how you delineate spatial usage may change by the end. Congratulations on making such a thing happen, it is quite an accomplishment and I look forward to seeing your completed effort.

Hi there! Just discovered your channel this morning. I LOVE old abandoned houses and properties and watching them get transformed. I will be watching this one for sure. Since you're in the business of up-cycling materials, you should find so much in this warehouse to incorporate in your renovation. Side note - I grew up in a town north of Detroit, Rochester, recognized the road and had good times on Belle Isle, back in the 70's. I'm really drawn to saving this building in my home state!

I think it's beautiful, I do have one thing to say I owned my own cleaning company before I retired and be very careful when removing that title, on the floor make sure it is really wet because most likely it has asbestos into it just keep it wet and you won't have to worry about inhaling you don't have to go crazy, and use a wet and dry back with a HEPA filter, to pick up any of the water debris. It can be a very costly adventure throwing it in a hazardous waste dump, just be very careful and definitely where a real good respirator also

Detroit is insane. There was an 18-apartment complex for $200,000. Like over 15,000 sq ft. Understandably, once a building gets to a certain size, you need a LOT of money to refurb it. But still, so tempting. Imagine a few friends buying it and having 5000 sq ft each floor to themselves.
