We bought another V12 exotic! This time a 2017 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S. This 565HP monster is far undervalued and a lot of bang for the buck! Perhaps the best supercar under $100,000? We got this car super cheap at auction sight unseen as as abandoned bank owned car. We're not sure if we should keep it or flip it. I'd say keep her for now! And if you mod it, do some mods that can be easily changeable & revertible if you go to sell in the future. And it's funny you bring up OG subscribers and the old videos haha. I've been a subscriber ever since the Buying A Ferrari At 17 video. As my actual personal dream car of mine IS a Ferrari F355 lol. Great video - I had a normal 4.3 V8 Vantage, that was great anyway, but then in 2014, I bought a 2014 V12 S (ex demo). Absolutely loved it - bright blue with all the extra's as it was a demo car. But, how I wished I had waited and tried to get the limited manual version! Maybe I wouldn't have lost so much money. But, either way, I enjoyed every second behind the wheel, I would advise anyone to get one if they have the opportunity. Happy driving

Current owner of #tavarish’s V12VS from Car Trek series 1 here. I have a few things to mention: Not your fault of course, but like every other new owner or reviewer, you didn’t lift when you shift! The paddles have a terrible rep for being slow but that’s simply because it’s a trad gearbox underneath everything and you certainly lift when you shift in a manual. If you don’t the system has to intervene first and shifts take twice as long. Once you get the feel for it, it’s incredible and 300% better on a track or when driving aggressively because you can keep your attention and both hands on the wheel. Also I have absolutely never ever driven it in auto lol. Sport mode and shifting yourself is much faster and satisfying when you get it right, try practicing the lift and shift and tell me it isn’t the perfect car. I swear the only reason they got so cheap in the first place is that critical bit of misinformation! Also, slight correction on the price Tavarish paid- this was pre covid and the market jumping, but Tavarish bought his for $69k and I got it for $70k with the dealer addressing the issues he found. I’m incredibly confident that it will be the cheapest V12VS ever sold in the US without being wrecked or having some other serious issue. They’re only going up. I’m never selling it, but it’s appreciated north of $100k even though mine has 30k more miles than yours. These engines are durable and it’s incredibly dailyable for a supercar. Mine has needed an idler pulley and annual maintenance in the three years and 8k miles I’ve put on it. These cars are only going up from here and people are discovering them. You got an incredible deal yes, but this is a solid long term investment- the new ‘last’ v12 vantage is turboed and looks & sounds lame in comparison. As Clarkson put it best, it really is the end of an era. As for mods, I wouldn’t recommend messing with the exhaust- it’s the best sounding car I’ve ever heard as is and different than anything else. Yeah you can make it sound high pitched like the glory days F1 cars but lots of v12s try that but never succeed because they can’t rev as high. I would instead recommend ditching the lame mesh vents and getting the red carbon louvered vents and other matching carbon bits from ECPS- a super highly respected maker of carbon parts in the AML community. They would look incredible with that spec and add significant value to an eventual sale on BAT or wherever. I’d change out the wheels to the lightweights or AMRs too but that’s just me lol.

@@sleepeatdrive7619 I haven't since contrary to the Car Trek videos the clutch is fine and even 2 years and 8k later it has plenty of life left- I actually just did a track day with it and it handled it like a champ, 0 issues all day. I'd guess it'd be in the $7-9k range.

I had so many customers with those cars when they trade them in they lose half the value.Besides when I dropped them off for service sometimes the jobs were more than I would make in half a year.I love those cars but my one customer had JDM cars So I bought one and to be honest I get more attention driving this car than a lot of exotics I drove.I will tell you the best vehicle I ever drove was a Ferrari 430 Scuderia.That had a sound that was just amazing.

Hi Guys, great car. I noticed you said the steering was a bit heavy when manoeuvring, can I ask you if you think Boxtsers and caymans also have heavy steering specifically the 987 gens? The only 987 ive driven felt so heavy when parking that I thought the power steering wasnt working. I know people will say Porsches have the best steering feel but no reviews every seem to mention how light or heavy the steering is. my current cars are BMW E85 Z4 and Mercedes CLS00 and the Z4 steering is a bit lighter in a good way, and ive owned a lot of cars but never a Porsche and its one thing that I always notice straight away. As you have had so many Boxters im interested in how you would rate the steering weight compared to BMWS and Mercs. Love the content by the way

The CLS55 AMG and E55 AMG are definitely the best family supercars and they are like 10-20k now adays. 600hp, 200ph with a tune and smaller pulley (some cooling mods help)

Put primary decats with high flow 200cell secondary's on it. Then get an X-pipe mid pipe to give it that exotic higher pitch sound. Then get the exhaust valve controller or pull the fuse to put the muffler in sport mode. U can replace the backbox setup to save weight an add more noise, BUT..... it'll already be crazy loud wit the stock muffler on there. But def leave the muffler for last to see if u def want it or not.
