We’ve unfortunately started the new year with 2 deaths in the (extended) family and then everyone in our household got a terrible cold. We’ve been surviving on takeout and convenience foods so far this year. Hoping to get a better start once these lingering colds disappear. Wow, unbelievable haul and so inexpensive for that amount. We were hoping here in Fuerteventura our Lidl and Aldi would have made an effort this year but sadly they didn't. The plant menu spiced kebab pieces are amazing. They did plant menu brioche buns in veganuary and they were the best brioche I’ve ever had and my partner is fussy and not vegan but he was going mad for them ❤

The vegan plant range and accidentally vegan range at aldi is fantastic snd great value for money, the breakfast patties are great. Id always femind people when following vegan diet to eat thd protein first followed by the veg and then your carb. If you get chance m & s have a good vegan range

Aldi seems to be a good go to for low cost vegan food, especially if you’re looking for food like replacement stuff.it’s nice to see that they have that flavoured tofu as that’s somewhat better for you then the burgers etc I didn’t seem to find as much as you guys did in our Aldi. I want to eat it all now I'm gobsmacked I think that's the most nicest vegan range ever! My jaw was dropping throughout the video ,I need to go to aldi! Great way to start my year was finding a 4 leaf clover on the first day of the year which was kinda creepy ngl. As finding it on the first day of the new year. Them curry beans are disgusting in no opinion!😢 BEANSSS I fell of the seat on the bus😂 I went around the corner fast and fell on my hip and my arm I'm lucky I didn't break anything. 2 ppl helped me up and this one person was laughing at me like a witch! Hellooo, I was wondering if this video would appear ahah as I saw you in Aldi 2 days ago =) but at that time you were not filming so I was not sure. I was surprised to see you there as it is "far" (south west). I went to that one that day as it is bigger than the local one where I normally shop, in hope to see lots of tempura no prawns, only found one (before Christmas they had many. Had I a big freezer I would have brought them all ahah). I bought the greek style block, festive bakes. I was looking for the pain au chocolates, nothing there. I need to get more of no chicken tikka masala snack pot which for pasta in a plastics pot it really tastes good. Have a great week.

In NZ we don't even have 1/8th of this amount of products available in Supermarket - we can get Vegan stuff like this but 4 times the price of non vegan stuff and from specalised stores and no where near this amount of range. Wish i lived in the UK.

I am gradually working my way through your older videos. This one was interesting. I do have a question; you might already have answered somewhere, but I can't read all the comments, and thus far, have not heard you answer this in particular. Why did you become vegan and did you go through a vegetarian stage first? What was your motivation to go fully vegan? We (husband and I) tend to eat vegetarian most of the time, because being an omnivore is too costly. I know there are vegan alternatives to certain products, but again, the cost would be prohibitive on a low, fixed income, where we live (New Zealand). We grow all we can and we keep chickens (they live entirely free range, natural lives, even roosting outside in shrubs and trees, and die of old age! They've earned their retirement - one died 4 months ago, and was older than Jojo!!) I don't have any issues with having eggs as they are a natural by-product to hens and with no rooster, breeding is not the objective - hens naturally start laying at around 20 weeks, without a rooster anywhere near them. In my mind, it would be wrong to waste them. Anyhow if you can clarify, I'd really appreciate your time. I love your channel and am learning a lot through watching! Thank you! xx

We made changes slowly and it took us about a month to go fully vegan and for some reason that month was one of the best and exciting months of our lives as we got excited about food again and loved walking around the supermarket looking at the foods we could have and figuring out what meals to make. We were actually quite surprised at how much food was already plant based. Regarding the lovely hens that you look after we would never judge anyone for having backyard hens and we don’t know enough about it to comment but the egg industry that supplies supermarkets is very cruel and the hens live the worst lives imaginable, very different lives to the hens that live with you 💚 Sending all our love over to you in New Zealand 🇳🇿 💚

@@FamilyFreedom Thank you! My current hens were rescued from a 'farm' and had to learn to be hens. They love being free and actively seek our company. They are in love with my ginger cat and regularly go and sleep, leaning against him. And even now, in the midst of Winter, they roost right outside the back door (in all weather conditions), just to be nearer to us. We don't have the usual predators here, so they are quite safe. And when we let the cats (mother and son, also rescued) out in the morning, they all go down to the garden together - it's really cute! Thankfully the egg industry here has changed and conditions have improved beyond recognition, but when my girls are not laying, I don't buy eggs. We only use what our girls supply, and make sure they get fed a balanced diet 365/365! They aren't fond of beans, but they DO love spaghetti, so Jojo is safe! xxx

Do you ever check the ingredients lable to see what else is in the vegan products that you are buying esides the plant based thing's like is there any e numbers etc please . I know i have to check thing's in case they have wheat in them, as im wheat intolerant, and its surprsing what you find wheat in.
