If your going to rebuild the engine, should buy the Green S2000 off the Goonzquad aswell, swap the engines back , these cars are appreciating in value and matching engine numbers will fetch more down the track, sell one keep one or sell both and make a profit, if your not fluffed about matching engine numbers then you should look into a K-Swap

You should consider to the Mustang build a switch in the route of the project. You should stop the fab work and focus on the powertrain. Then get a big white board and design the plan of construction to the car. Instead of the plain sheets of metal, use aftermarket panels even from a different Mustang gen, to the firewall, fender aprons, and strut towers. It will be stiffer and safer. Also easier to get replaced if damaged and get suspension parts.

You're dead right about the s2000. I drove one quite a bit and loved the experience. It makes all it's power up around 8000 rpm, which is nuts! Great transmission, great shifter, great balance. I recall it's 240 HP, which at the time was the highest HP per displacement engine (NA) on the market. It's like a Miata, only better. You could have some fun with it and then flip it for some decent profit. Great choice for content too!

I found your channel when they used you for frame work. You need to follow how they have grown rebuilding cars from auctions and getting them back on the road with minor mods 🇺🇸

Goonzquad are morphing into a food channel Lol. One of their recent videos devoted 10 minutes to showing them cleaning teeth, having breakfast then advertising some kind of cooking sauce. All they seem interested in is grabbing money from selling merchandise and advertising. There is virtually no real car related stuff happening anymore, just bolt a couple of parts on then back to bragging about building the new shop or house.

I'm excited about your new build. I own a 2004 red S2k which had similar damage to the read quarter panels and rear bumper. Restoring the car to stock oem is the way to go, well, ...maybe a bit of boost won't hurt...

Hey ben, i think a candy red would be suitable color for that s2000 of yours. I think the interior is outdated. Maybe needs to reuphoster the seats with leather and suede alcantara. That would look awesome. As for the engine, its up to you how you gonna spice up. Haha. Good luck to your build.

Your engine is it 07 or 05 cuz that red s2k is an 07 with an 07 wire harness because I watched goonzquad green s2k get built with an 07 engine

sweet! stock is OK on the S2000 but you'll want a supercharger on it. the bottom end is WEAK! on another note... gotta get a gimbal for your camera though... on a big screen, it's enough to give you motion sickness.

I think the S2000 is all about the power to weight ratio and the 50/50 weight distribution. It may not actually be exactly 50/50 but it's close and if I'm not mistaken those make 240 horsepower at some ridiculously 8000 or 9000 rpm.

The S-2000 is a legendary sports car....you have the chance to bring it back to box stock and preserve a car that is no longer in production and that is getting more valuable every day. 225 HP from a naturally aspirated 4 banger....here's hoping you don't get the itch to trick it out....a stock S-2000 is a great, fun everyday driver.....

Agreed, returning to stock is a good way to go. It's claimed output is 239hp. Mine was red like this too - the previous owner had ticked all of the options in the UK which included front strakes, side strakes and a boot lid spoiler. I really regret selling it.
