That bathroom in the basement is actually kind of dope , and the shed in the back is perfect for yard work stuff so you don't clutter up the garage. Congrats on the new place guys

Exactly, I would actually lean into it. Black slate spa walls or just black mold free/waterproofed paint over the and glossy pine or bamboo ceiling. Leave the floor, cabinet, and red sink or go oriental spa theme. There are reasons laminate floors from the 70s are actually pretty strong, durable, and absolutely waterproof and won’t shift in the basement. And if you do tear up those floors, you might need a professional to do it. Those floors are sturdy for a reason. Asbestos is the reason. Safe and tell disturbed and then you need to have your lungs protected.

That’s bigger than some people’s apartment I would leave the fire place. And tv where it’s at and put a long table where all your boxes are by the sliding doors are. It takes time. Don’t rush it. Work on 1 room at a time. You will get there it’s an never ending projects. Put some rubber runners on your basement steps. I fell butt first all the way down steps like yours and hurt my back/tail bone. At the age of 20 and 2 month pregnant 10 years later found out my tailbone shifted from my spine. 3 back surgerys later and I’m 58 and have a hard time walking. So please. Put rubber Mat things on your steps. It will help your puppys too

I can totally relate !! Last year I bought a small home and I couldn’t believe the amount of the down payment ! It’s really tuff to come up with that 20% so you don’t end up with PMI insurance. Me & my husband bought our first house at age 21 & 22. We completely redid our front and back yard by ourselves! Sprinkler system, fence, sod, garden beds, a chicken + goat area, planted some trees & a bunch of gravel too. It’s totally doable to do it all DIY. It may have taken us 3 years to get it where it’s at now but hey we did it ourselves and on a budget!

I love it!! I'm a realtor and this is a home that Buyer's dream of!! You did good! PS - I love the character of the downstairs bathroom! LOL I also LOVE your laundry room and the yard is awesome! The carport has so many possibilities - excited to see what you do with it!
