Regarding Starbucks drink sizes: I also used to think it was the height of ridicule that the small sized drink was called "tall." I assumed it was a marketing thing, kind of like Dan described. HOWEVER! I had to work a crappy job at a Starbucks one winter and found out that the Tall size is NOT the smallest available size. There is a "short" size that is no longer advertised! It's like a secret menu or something where you have to ask for it specifically. And guess what? It's a reasonable size for a drink. That said, it is so infrequently used that I would not be surprised if your barista had no idea what you're talking about when you ask for one.

The problem was that Danny declared Bankrupt on paying off the mortgage instead of paying off Michel, so it moved the order over to the next player. All because Arin forgot to put Dan's money on the table in the first trade and made it so that Dan had no money to pay off the new mortgage in the second trade.

Here's how the bug played out I think: So originally Arin didn't add any money from Dan to the trade, so it was showing the dollar value of the properties Dan was offering and Dan kept all his cash + $1 from Arin. Then they did a second trade where Dan offers all his cash and Arin gives Dan a bankrupted property + $1. The game is now asking Dan to pay to unmortgage the property he received from Arin or pay 10% of the mortgage value to keep it mortgaged, neither of which Dan is able to do (no cash). Dan attempts to answer this prompt by Bankrupting but it wasn't letting him Bankrupt until he hit spacebar to view the board (you can hear an error buzz when he first attempts to bankrupt). It's at this point that the game has broken. The game didn't handle the bankruptcy correctly, like Arin shockingly explained.

The Starbucks partner urge to actually explain the sizes. Alright so when Starbucks first started they had the sizes short and tall, similar to what you find at a small cafe or bar, then they introduce the big size, the grande! Thats when they became more of a chain and realized that they were gonna continue needing bigger sizes to keep up with demand, so went to numbered sizes ie venti and trenta.

American demands larger though, naturally, haha. Hence using venti, meaning 20 in Italian, and trenta, meaning 30 (to refer to the ounces used.)

Re: Starbucks sizes- I worked at Starbucks for 6 years and I told people about this constantly because the size names are completely wack and, understandably, everyone's got something to say about them. In case it is of interest: When Starbucks first opened, there were 2 sizes - short and tall. Short is 8oz, Tall is 12oz. When Grande (16 oz) was introduced, it was the biggest one. As competitors were using increasingly bigger sizes, they introduced a 20oz size, which is Venti (meaning "twenty"). The iced venti cups are like 24oz to account for ice. "Short" isn't usually shown on menu boards but it is still there - you can still order hot drinks in the Short size.

Few things: Short is the smallest starbucks size, Tall makes sense after that. Tall is what most Americans would think of as small, but that's because we are gluttons. In Europe, espressos without all the milk and sugar is much more common, so they use smaller cups. Here Grandes are colloquially considered "medium" (when they are really larges) because we can't glug down enough, while across the pond grandes are considered a lot. Then there are Ventis which are just pure gluttony. Finally, starbucks managers actually do call their stores "short/tall/grande/venti," Short stores are like kiosks and drive throughs, talls have all available drinks, grandes have all of the food products, and ventis have those shopping areas.

I looked up the Starbucks naming thing, and it turns out "tall" is called that because it used to be the biggest size they had. They just phased out the smaller size (called "short") over time and added bigger sizes, but kept the original name.

That is one of the most insane bugs i have ever seen. Owing someone money after landing on your own property and then softlocking the game once you can pay. How the heck does that occurring from someone going bankrupt from owing money to another player not come up in bug testing? That's like, 99% the reason someone bankrupts.
