Unfortunately this leads to a 'crunch-culture', where workers are expected to put a lot of effort into the job. Since Tesla has such a high supply of workers, there's no shortage of replacements. This makes standing up to Tesla very difficult.

Everytime I see one of these, or top gear's geoff, I wonder what it would take to make something out of it that was actually... good. Battery life and speed is not really an issue. An ESC with balancing, or fuses, lipo battery instead of lead acid, pretty cheap. You could probably get around having to do major suspension work with larger tires. Comfort, uh.. make it.. larger?
