That looks like a really cool shop. Kind of like an Op-shop purely for wargaming. There needs to be more shops like this one in the world.
@RPRsChannel3 жыл бұрын
Most used wargaming armies needs some lovelovelove, but 90% of the work is done before you start touchups. If you spend that extra time on highlighting, adding some washes, oils, ect, it usually looks even better. And presto, you have an army, like in your video. **Ahhhh** 50% of the hobby is cutting sprues, gluing assembling, priming and that's not with the wait times in-between. Since I outsourced the assembly, gluing, priming of my minis, I have at least 50% more time to paint-if I wanted to use that time on painting. Having someone taking care of my minis in that way is a time and frustration saver. There's just something so satisfying about having that bit of the hobby ready for when YOU are ready to paint.

THIS!!!! Is why the days of STORES and GW are numbered!!! The death toll has sounded.. and it echos with the resounding words "3D RESIN PRINTER"... Because.. Even tho, 5 or 6 years ago this store would have sounded like a HAVEN!!! An absolute dream come true.. NOW!!! It sounds EXPENSIVE!!!! When u consider a 5000 point army.. (or cough cough the equiv.. models.. ) for £250 worth of resin.. u can print out 3,4.. even 5 5000 point armies.. and i dont care what ANYONE says.. the quality is SO good these days.. it seriously gives ANY injection mould a run for their money.. esp when u take into consideration the cost AND the flexibility.. dont like the size of a certain mini?? PRINT IT BIGGER!!! You can even use BLENDER to BONE pretty much ANY STL MODEL.. and then ALTER its POSE!!! POSITION.. Even resculpt certain parts if u have the skill... When u look at the opposite side of the coin.. which is a GREEDY company that has charged FAR!!!! too much for FAR!!! too long.. its an absolute no brainer.. GW no longer hold a monopoly on OUR HOBBY.. Not only this.. The models that are being produced from kickstarters and even FREE vendors (most of the time) put the GW models to shame.. I cant tell you how many times ive seen someone print off a MIND BLOWING mini.. compared it to GW prices.. KNOWING it would have cost you about £50 to £60.. and then finding out it cost £2 worth of resin!!! If this doesnt KILL GW... i will be MASSIVELY surprised.. The only upside in the GW direction that i can see coming from all this.. is the fact that they will FINALLY!!! be forced to listen to the community.. and start adding things that people actually want.. instead of ignoring them.. its the ONLY trump card i can see them owning right now.. (fyi.. the CAPS are for emphasis only.. im not crazy or angry :) )
@BarokaiRein3 жыл бұрын
What a fantastic store and good video as always but man ever since I got into resin printing it really just highlighted how insanely expensive the hobby is even when you buy stuff second hand. Like my army of 4 mega gargants ended up costing me at most 15 euros in resin. That project alone was enough to pay for both the photon mono and wash and cure machine two times over. I wonder where GW prices will be like 5 years from now since more and more people have printers at home and that whole thing is just snowballing. I'd assume they'd just keep going up since it's GW but the second hand prices might also be the first hand prices sooner rather than later,you never know.

*Four* Mk1 Land Raiders! They were goofy looking tanks even by 1980's standards; the bottom of the tracks were far too short, but somehow it was always a must-have model to get. I think part of the appeal was that they were pretty easy to convert or kitbash - not as easy as the Mk1 Rhinos, but still a doddle compared to working with the modern versions.
